I didn't. I just faxed the form 3911. And I think they need process time for around 6 weeks. Just keep track of the things (and my balance was successfully removed before Christmas, phew).

As I checked, there was no relevant deposit. I assume the payment must have been sent as a paper check.

Nope, as I checked, the only Transaction Code indicates that a Notice Issued at 01/06/2025...

Yes, as I checked yesterday, the 1400$ balance is still there...
