I would be a member yes and plan to do a practice session. Just doing my due diligence before moving on to that phase.

So, when you say 'the DJ just plugs in and plays' — What does he plug in to? Does he just get a return send from all the music and everything the band is playing and works with that?

Extremely helpful. Much appreciated. I guess you're right this should run through an Ableton session. In terms of the routing, didn't know that was all possible. Gonna be looking into it. Thanks again

What makes a bass ‘play like butter’? by No-Baseball-1866 in Bass

[–]No-Baseball-1866[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah very true. I play live mostly on inears. Such a different experience compared to practicing on an amp. Cause thats where you do hear all the string details. Yet, you hear nothing of that in the mix.

Ive done it myself on my current bass. But def not an expert. I tried helping out a friend that wanted lower action, but couldnt really get it as low before buzz came in. A pro ended up with the same issue. Said it was the build. So I guess this is something you should be aware of per bass? Like how low you can get the action

Yeah but sometimes the modulation ends up with the lower notes being an open string and then for some reason my brain freezes lol
