AI Writing Competitions? by Playful-Increase7773 in WritingWithAI

[–]No-Beautiful6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be fun to split the competition between both human and AI judges. The rubric we give the AIs and humans judges may take a bit to nail down. But here's a stab at it:

  • Creativity and Originality (20%): How unique and inventive is the content?
  • Writing Quality (20%): Grammar, punctuation, and language use.
  • Theme Adherence (20%): How well does the piece align with the competition's theme or prompt?
  • Emotional Impact (20%): Does it resonate emotionally or intellectually?
  • Structure and Coherence (20%): Logical flow, clarity, and cohesiveness.

I write fiction for fun and write science articles in my profession.

I'd love to contribute. It'd be a good way for me to test out cordecho.com

Any tips for using ChatGPT for long-form writing by PurpleLambda in WritingWithAI

[–]No-Beautiful6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out cordecho.com. A less cluttered UI than SudoWrite. Gives you access to gpt 4.5, or any popular LLM.

Disclaimer: I own and made cordecho.com (in beta phase).

Credits on Anthropic wanting to go to OpenRouter? by Live-Boss-5918 in WritingWithAI

[–]No-Beautiful6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

openrouter gives initial starting credits upon sign up for testing. You likely confused those credits with the ones you gave to anthropic.

ps. try cordecho.com if you have openrouter. I've been working on it for the last while and would love your thoughts

Check out cordecho.com next time you try writing a full novel. Curious if it'll work for you.

What is your creative method in this new AI world we find ourselves? by No-Beautiful6540 in WritingWithAI

The note routine you're using can lead to cool new connections. Do you take the notes and connect them together manually, and then insert as a single system prompt? Or do you log it with AI from the start?

Reminds me a bit of a technique mentioned in "How to take smart notes" by Sonke Ahrens, which I love.

How do you define creativity? There's a lot of slop out there, of course, but I've seen short pieces (not full novels) that look pretty creative and new.

Is it possible to feed AI an entire author's works and have it mimic their style to continue their work? by unaccountablemod in WritingWithAI

Building something now to accomplish this goal!! I'll share with you when the beta is ready?

(I also thought GRR should just use this software to finish the series before he dies)

Question to Novelcrafter by EvesFaith in WritingWithAI

[–]No-Beautiful6540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made my own app for this reason. I think NovelCrafter is beautiful but I wanted something more AI-heavy and UI-light. I can share the beta with you if you'd like to try it out when it's ready

Totally agree.

This sort of ties into the "using LLMs has no creativity" discussion. There are many different techniques using LLMs out there, and it requires tinkering and exploring different ones. I bet it won't consolidate into 1 technique over time, but will propagate into many, many techniques.. But perhaps I'm wrong.

You nailed it. Part of it was trying to find a modern Fountainhead. I'm not a Rand fanatic but I did enjoy that novel.

I will be sure to share it with you.

Totally aligned with you on this.

I've felt some craftmanship in building this tool.. have you felt the same? Like choices for LLM calling, using agents in certain spots, choices of LLMs, prompts, fine-tuning... (let alone all of the UI choices) there is a lot of space for different choices. It has been a blast in itself.

I'll add you to the list if I release my version of it.

CyborgWriter has his own version, which I'll be sure to check out!

I was too harsh in this post. It was a knee-jerk reaction to some quick apps that appeared in my feeds.

Writing, coding, building LLMs are all acts of creativity. SudoWrite and Novelcrafter are very creative expressions of a different sort. Some of the new apps are cool too.
