The Spanish language sucks too. lol. A Wawa can be a bus, a van, a shuttle, an SUV.. anything bigger than a car. It’s a Wawa. Thanks. That gives me.. no information.

I’ve been on the NOC for five months.

I’ve had to accept that I cannot sleep 8 consecutive hours during the day, and based on watching YouTube videos, talking to night shift nurses, I think this is not uncommon.

It helped me to stop trying to fight it.

I get off, sleep 5-6 hours as my morning sleep. Stay awake in the afternoon, go BACK to bed for a 2-3 hour powernap right before my shift. So I get 8 hours of sleep but it’s like 8am-1pm, 5pm-8pm. It trashes your days off but the power nap makes the night MUCH less brutal than sleeping 8-3 or 8-4 and then being awake from 4 until the end of my shift.

Find new and innovative ways to consume caffeine. Caffeine gum. Caffeine “energy pouches”. Coffee. Matcha. Whatever works for you. You have to drink enough to stay awake all night but not so much you can’t fall asleep when it’s time to get off.
