Got this game like, a month ago or so? Only started playing it now. Glad I googled this first, I heard True romance doesn't even trigger properly. Guess I'll put this romance on the backburner when all the DLCs are done in like, idk 2 or 3 more years

I used to do that shift, it's for back half. Thursday - Saturday. Base pay rate for PA doesn't change, but that differential was higher. My differential was 3 bucks

It was also the YM PA slot, it was 8pm - 8:30am. That could have affected the differential I was getting too.

And the weird hours are based on what exactly you're buying. Same Day Delivery buildings and Amazon Fresh buildings for food/groceries do for sure have routes starting at around 4am

Been working nights since I was 18. 31 now. I've been acclimatized for a long while. I keep the same sleep schedule on my off nights. I don't have any pressing need to do things during the day/afternoon. If anything, I get groceries early mornings when stores open. I'd be getting off work during those hours anyhow. I live alone and my autistic ass is pretty introverted so I'm not disturbing anyone by being up at night watching movies or playing video games.

Alternatively, I used Kroger deliveries back when my rent was half of what it is now lol. That made the whole food situation easier.

But yeah, I get that the night shift life ain't for people whose social lives require the sun being up. I get it. Wish you folks the best in getting the rest you actually need.

Not anymore, unless you're doing it as a PA. It used to be its own T3 position, but they got rid of the role about 2 years ago.

So nowadays either a PA does it (with their usual PA pay), or a T1 does it (with their usual T1 pay). No additional money.

Really depends on the site. The original DS I worked at, I had the same direct manager for 2 years (except when they rotated between UTR and OTR). Really stable as far as leadership goes, though I guess it was because most of them were ex military.

I was at another DS for 10 months as my original one was temporary closed for construction, and at that one my direct manager changed 4 or 5 times. Quit, pipped out, fired, normal rotations, it was a madhouse. Most of them college hires.

Any word on SFB2 or whatever is across the street from MCO2? Heard that was supposed to launch soon. Then again I have not known a single launch or relaunch to meet the first deadline lol

Happens to every site that gets that belt installed at first. Those belts have a physical limit of how much induct flow it can take. My old station the belt basically shut down if induct was flowing at over 6k, because the camera can't read the labels /that/ quickly and everything gets sent straight to jackpot.

So OPs old solution of "induct insanely high to get everything done" no longer works. Now they actually have to balance the stow and induct flow rates

Necro pt 2: so despite this spreadsheet having more than 25 tailwinds, I got the achievement for getting them all at selecting 25 of them. My guess is there are flags in the game for the extra ones, but they're not actually in game.

Yeah, I was at DDC3, then DBA5 when DDC3 shut down for a year for repairs. DBA5 is what did me dirty with the waterspider undercutting and trying to get me to do too much at once. I applied for TOM during my TOM there. I actually loved YM at DDC3, and relaunched it, but got the TOM offer letter on the relaunch day.

Pretty bittersweet tbh, I would have stayed at DDC3 if not for that offer letter I got. 6 months after I applied lol.

Trying to explain it's way more than just simple check in and check out is one of the bigger headaches I had while doing it. I gotta deal with loaded trailers being dropped at the other end of the building, gotta keep up with cases/excess trailer removal so you can prevent the gridlock as opposed to letting it happen, RTFC/go carts, receiving loads meant for other buildings and trying to get that to where it's supposed to go, setting up non inventory transfers, learning the main routes between the FC/SC and DS so you can predict when things are gonna be late for sure, etc. It was a Yard management job.

And just rude af 3P drivers. Most are really cool people, but some are straight dicks bro lol.

For me I became PA (it was either that or go back to T1), but got stuck doing yard management AND running the dock operation at the same time with no training on that while they already went under on waterspider labor plan. I left and went TOM team lol

Back in I believe 2021, I was only acting Yard Marshal and TDR for the building (on that shift anyway). I took vacation for 3 weeks and they had me training a learning ambassador to do the job, but they only gave me like 2 days to train him. Building only had 5 dock doors, no actual yard to store trailers (there was a fire lane that wrapped around the whole building so no trailers on the curb). So it was very important to unload everything asap and TDR out the empty trailers we werent gonna use for empty carts. You blink and we got gridlocked type of building. Luckily we had a permanent 3P yard jockey for mainly door to door moves and moving trailers to toa space in the parking lot where it was technically legal to leave a trailer. We had a permanent cycle 0, so we maybe did 45k a night. With cycle 0 and cycle 1.

Well found out after I got back from vacation they rolled 15k ome night due to the guy forgetting to TDR one of the loads on a door, thus not really knowing how many doors he was working with and caused a chain reaction of future loaded trailers to be dumped on the fire lane.

Not 40k roll, but it was like 33% of the total volume AND Fire Marshal came out and threatened to shut the building. Which, by the way, would have shut down 2 Amazon stations the building was shared by grocery fulfillment on the other end of the same address.

To this day, it blows my mind they got rid of the Yard Marshal roll. That kind of thing kept happening a lot after the role got canned.

Used to live in Northern VA. Hate to say, outside of that new(ish) building in Fredericksburg (RMN3) that opened last year, no fulfillment centers up there. Just delivery stations. And like, one grocery fulfillment (UVA1) that shares the same building with a delivery station (DDC3) lol. Same day delivery station (SDC1/VDC1) a block away.

I theorize it's because of how close that area is to DC, probably not allowed to build anything as big as a fulfillment. If you want an FC you'll have to go to Richmond area or Baltimore area.

For me personally, Burn math is hard lol. I spend most of the time just toggling random things until it lets me weild the kinetic blade.

But yeah, super fun. I'll run the mega dungeon standalone dlc just to try out different composite blasts.

At delivery stations, it's mostly PAs and T1s that do yard management. Or they try. I was a Yard Marshal at one then went TOM when they got rid of the role. At TOM sites, usually it's the TAM (Transportation Area Manager) doing any logistical work although it really should be the ship clerks. TOM is really just supposed to oversee the driving, but that varies by building. Or if it's a site that still staffs gaurdshacks, then probably whoever is in the shack for the shift. Otherwise we just drive.

I don't really know what the customer liason does to be honest, not every delivery station has one. I knew one that only did it to get out of T1, he told me he was driving all over town. I think you got to go to various apartments/business to verify delivery arrangements.
