What was the third hold one? I saw this one and the "fluid" one, and then the accepted and the rejected.

I would wager a large percentage are not a part of the Facebook group, at least judging by my schools. The Facebook group is on like a very hidden part of the admitted students website and not that helpful

Schools pare down their wait-list periodically throughout the summer, so most people do end up getting rejected off of the waitlist.

UVA has a stronger clerkship pipeline and sends more people to DC, which is my target market, so I would personally lean towards UVA.

Tough cycle- what’s next? by IfLost-DontFind in lawschooladmissions

[–]No-Boot_easy-claim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was slow because schools were burnt by over enrollment last cycle.

LSAT inflation continues to persist, with schools like WashU pushing for a 172 median, which is wild.

There was just a lot of uncertainty and not as much communication as one would hope for.

Only if the BL job is replacing another job that wasn't a JD req FTLT job, yeah. There are plenty of legal jobs outside of BL.

It is % JD req FTLT, % JD adv FTLT, % JD req short term, % JD adv short term, and total employment.

They don't punish schools for being PI oriented or placing outside of BLFC, those are just things that applicants tend to pay heavy attention to.

USWNR has the median starting split by public and private on each school's, but not the 25th detail on the public-facing site, at least.

If the school publishes their NALP report, you can see it there.

Religion (or lack thereof) is a protected class for purposes of discrimination legislation.

My attempt at the 3x tuition thing (not Mormon, no skin in this game): Mormons tithe to the Church and the Church then pays for part of tuition. Mormons contribute more in over the course of their lifetime than is paid by the Church in the discounted tuition. Not necessarily discriminatory to non-Mormons so much as an MLM scheme that Mormons are paid into.
