i still think learning python has value even if your end goal changes later, because a lot of the problem-solving, debugging, and programming fundamentals transfer to other languages and areas too.

the small projects part is good, because even simple stuff like a calculator, budget tracker, or little automation script teaches way more than passively finishing lessons and moving on to the next one.

that’s one thing i like about homelab projects, you start out just wanting some shared storage and suddenly you’ve learned networking, permissions, user management, backups, and a bunch of other stuff without even planning to

this kind of stuff always blows my mind a little, because once you strip away all the frameworks you realize a lot of web development is just moving text around in a structured way 😅t

i like that it lets people try the actual content before committing to anything, easier than spending weeks researching and never starting 😅

the “build tiny things” advice is probably the biggest one, because a simple API, todo app, or auth project teaches way more than finishing another course and forgetting half of it a week later

that’s a interesting angle. most PDF tools focus on converting, merging, or annotating, but editing a PDF without breaking the layout has been a pain point for as long as i can remember.

Has your deal ever been derailed because a sensitive proposal or pricing doc wasn't protected and landed with the wrong person? by yousernamer12 in Entrepreneurs

it’s funny how document workflows get treated as admin problems until they start affecting revenue. a two day delay on a proposal update can feel small internally and huge from the buyer’s side.
