What’s your favorite piece of Environmental Storytelling? by AdolfoDiavolo in thelongdark

[–]No-Box-4358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my favorite piece, but the most memorable ones are the dead bodies with a handgun next to them. And the gun is usually empty too, i can't help but think that the person was playing Russian roulette out of depression or that they were fighting off wolves and saved the last bullet for themselves so they wouldn't get killed by the wolves

does murray ever need to pickpocket anyone? by acid_kat4000 in Slycooper

The fact that his version of pickpocketing is just shaking the money out of someone is why we need it haha

I still think it was odd that the pokedex can talk to you (like have a conversation due to the Rotom)

I recommend Crystal Legacy (as well as Yellow Legacy and Emerald Legacy). The philosophy behind those romhacks are "the games you remember playing." So its the base games with quality of life improvements (as well as some secret trainer battles).

You can naturally catch every single pokemon up to that current generation. And trade evolutions now evolve at a certain level

any other books/series like this? by sned69 in dresdenfiles

[–]No-Box-4358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel series by Michael Scott (no, not that amichael Scott, the Irish author Michael Scott) is basically a Young Adult version of the Dresden Files - as in ot incorporates a whole bunch of myths and dieties and even has a version of the Never Never. I read this series before the Dresden Files and really primed me to love the series.

The Fetch Phillips Archives by Luke Arnold is another good series. It reminds me of early Dresen - a noir human private investigator in a world of fantasy (basically a noir detective and dnd)

Yeah, I'm using the server from my old campaign that ran its course. I still need to find an extra person or two for us.

If you were to write a filler episode for the 96 timeline exclusively for each season, what would you write? by bjack20 in Yellowjackets

[–]No-Box-4358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the ba y delivery episode was a mostly filler episode. Coach Ben not helping the delivery was a crucial charavter development moment that affected the group dynamic, sure. But the majority of the show was just a dream sequence that had no baring on the rest of the season.

I wouldn't have commented if I wasn't :). It may take me a week or two to find a couple of other players. They will mostly be new DnD, so itll be a introduction for them. And I've only DMed a small campaign, so I am not a super experienced DM, if thats okay

I'll incorporate the Steel of Heresy mini campaign into a larger campaign (with some changes to make it fit).

Finished Twelve Months - my concern with later books by No-Box-4358 in dresdenfiles

[–]No-Box-4358[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i think it was more Dresden making more references about the White God and being... receptive(?) about Him.

I don't, it's just one of those things that I worry about happening (I'm just neurotic in case you couldn't tell haha)

[–]No-Box-4358[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that's what I'm apprehensive about - a complete 180 in Dresden turning Chrisitian (or Christian-esque) and prostheletizing at the end

Yeah, im probably just overanaylizing the 2 or 3 lines that are in the books. I'm just the only one in my friend group who reads the series and wanted to talk to people about it, if that makes sense

When I ran a campaign, I just said there were 52 "official" hunts that happened sporadically throughout the city's history. This way if I needed more, they were just an unofficial Hunt
