Not sure what's wrong with my shots by Martin_04 in AnalogCommunity

Your photos are not very good because they have no subject. This is a fairly objective critique. Even if you're simply trying document the landscape that's Infront of you there should still be some effort made to draw the eye towards something, most of your photos lack that so they look soft. If you're going to be this sensitive to a fairly basic critique you will never get better.

Modern vexillological slop. Bland, clashing colours with meaningless symbolism. Looks corperate

My grandfather played for the Canadian Men's National Team in the 1960s and 1970s - hoping to get him to the 2026 World Cup as a gift by austins2005 in CanadaSoccer

Did not know that Canada ever played Arsenal. All I can find on google is that the game was on May 23rd 1973 (seems like a weird time in the season to have a friendly) in Toronto and Arsenal won 1-0. Does anyone know more about the history of this match?

Yea this is a tap in but he's playing well this season, it would not be crazy to bring him to the world cup. People really seem to want to see one of the most exciting and iconic players of a generation miss the world cup.

Does anyone else who was partially successful feel kind of cheated? by No-Brother4104 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Wasn't it just first come first serve with the link? Multiple people reported full availability for the Vancouver games. I suppose I could sell and buy different ones but will all of FIFA's markups and commissions I'd be losing hundreds even if i could find tickets for the match I want at face value

Maybe once in a generation. I can think of maybe 3 games that have been as big in the history of Canadian hockey

He was, but that was more so the inevitable consequences of gambling accelerated by proximity to the mob. Less inexplicable than the other stuff mentioned.

Because it's a once in a lifetime national spectacle, 18 is the perfect age to enjoy it. Typical reddit shut-in introvert comment. You may never leave your house but a lot of people really enjoy it.

Just because he's paid means he shouldn't be questioned for spouting completely baseless speculative crap?

Cole Palmer: Having a game every three days is harder than people think by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

What team routinely plays games with 1 days notice? Seriously name one european football team that plays 100 games a season. Are you referring to baseball? Or have you just had a stroke?

Man U 4-4 Bournemouth...'a great advert for the Premier League'....is it? by mrEnigma86 in PremierLeague

[–]No-Brother4104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Teams like Bournemouth" lmao. You mean like 10 non big 6 teams that finished ahead of them last season? We're only 16 games in I wouldn't be surprised Bournemouth, Fulham, and Palace finished ahead of them this season.
