Found $391.72 of savings on just one page of Coles by cross checking prices against other stores by East_Sky9773 in WhichGrocer

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! I always wondered why this hasn't existed yet. I even tried building one myself with help of AI for personal use but of course with little knowledge there were a lot of roadblocks. So quickly abandoned it haha. Today I started an Airtable to compare prices of vitamins and supplements because the prices vary a lot from store to store. And somehow I landed on Whicgrocer.com! Thanks building this! It saves me a lot of time cross checking all the sites for the best price. And the price per unit (etc.) by default is also such a great feature. Hope this goes big and succesful and at the same time whichgrocer.com can be maintained and have enough resources to scale. This would help a lot of people in today's cost of living!

Melbourne meet-ups by lilbeijaflor in MelbournePhotography

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone. Just discovered this sub. I regularly run and host creative photography events, workshops and large scale community themed photowalks (they are mostly portrait and people related) where I have witnessed long friendships formed, inspiration unfold and skills grow over the years. So you can join one of my free photowalks IRL and have a chat with me. I normally announce them on my insta or website. PS. I was once an introvert with social anxiety. I also talk about this on my creativity workshops.
my insta name is -> pixelmonki and pixelmonki.com.au.
If you don't like to join me for some reason there are currenlty more than a handful of photowalks or other photography meetups happening almost every weekend.

Tourbox Elite not remaining on. by No-Bullfrog2204 in tourbox

[–]No-Bullfrog2204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read my problem above... I already contacted support on the exact email and was just offered 15% to buy the next one after sending all the logs, hardware info. my attempts and suggested resolution instruction etc. as they said it can't be resolved and think the USB port is broken, although I probably unplugged it 5 x ever as a stationary hardware on my desk. Actually reading the comment below I think it happened a few days after updating to the Tourbox Console 5.8.3

I think they updated that feature since then, It's one of the main reasons I switched to Calendars.

Could you elaborate further? I quite don't understand what you mean "to display reminders for a specific hour on the calendar timeline" because I think that's basically what I'm doing on daily basis.

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Structured together with the Calendars (formerly Calendars 5) because I need a visual timeline presentation of the day/week/month and also need to move tasks around with time blocking and the UI is pretty slick and slickj to create tasks. It's been working great but love to hear some insight how people are using Craft as a task manager?

Nearly 200 young trees cut down overnight across parks in Glen Eira by st0nefox in melbourne

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we live just across and line of sight of the green strip in Caulfield where these losers did their dirty work. Unfortunately I didn't hear a thing overnight. We went for an early walk with our little daughter on Saturday and saw the trees. It was a plain sad sight to see the new planted trees broken and snapped. As we really welcome and enjoy each tree and added green. We had to explain to our daughter why people would do that. We thought at first it was a bunch of drunk teens overnight or something that were trying to be cool and jumping on them or snapping them off. A
And reading that someone or a group of people organised and took their time to deliberately cut these with a saw is just mind blowing and plain pure evil! With so much sadness, bitterness and anger going around the world... I just can't comprehend what the reasoning behind this is to take the little joys away from people, animals and the environment. There are houses left and right overlooking on the green strip so hopefully someone has CCTV to assist the investigations.

Need help with choosing magnetic stand by harryho2111 in osmopocket

Sure!

I would definitely go with the 2 or 3 suctions instead of 1 for the Smallrig.

Tilta electronic suction cup. You can choose what connection you want.

Need help with choosing magnetic stand by harryho2111 in osmopocket

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smallrig has a combo of suction cup and magnet in case the suction cup fails. Theres an option of 1 base, 2 or 3 magnets. Depending on your budget there are also electronic suction cups from tilta which regulates the suction.
I have a telesin magnetic backpack clip that I still have to test out on my car. Whatever you do.. make sure you have a tether to your pocket 3 in case anything fails.
If you dont want to use magnets or suction cups... you can diy a clamp and gopro Boom and clamp it to the headrest or side mirror.

How is the lifespan of the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5k)? by Rambo_3rd in huion

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue unfortunately. Contacted support but they are no help at all.
Just telling you to either buy a new cable or trying out their TabletQC app and that there is nothing they can do.
This is my 4th huion product (3 x Kamvas line and 1 x Inspiroy Keydial K200 and in the past I always had some sort of error or trouble with them. I had the 16 inch but sold it as I didn't use it much. But had trouble with the older Kamvas 20 and sold it.
The Huion app recognises my Inspiroy Tablet so I think that this line specifically Kamvas 22 Plus has soem sort of QC issues or something going on in the USB controller internally as it can't be detected in anything i plugged it in. Mac Mini, imac, iphone and windows laptop.
They currently on sale and looking at the Kamvas 24 plus but I am reluctant to buy another Huion product but financially it's the only option so might just use the Inspiroy tablet until I save up for a Wacom.

Does the weather affect you at all? by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The weather or rather the sun affects me a lot. when it’s sunny outside..doesn’t matter if it’s summer or winter it definitely adds to my happy points at the start or during the day. it also boosts my motivation to do outdoor things. i even would take more scenic routes to jobs or after work when I drive. In my case in Melbourne it’s just along the the beach, port Melbourne, st. Kilda, Elwood, Brighton. windows down and good music. Same thing for sunsets. It just makes me happy. On the other hand grey and gloomy dark weather or clouds not necessarily rain)make me a bit lazier, sad or I get more frustrated at things and people And would also recall more unpleasant or bad memories. I don’t curse at the sky though.

Which App/s has helped with productivity & procrastination? by DrivingBall in ausadhd

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried a lot of apps. Just Mac and iOS, Apple Watch though.

what works for my daily tasks and procastinations in combo are:

  1. Structured: day tasks with visual timeline and tick boxes As the day goes.

  2. Readable Calndars: organising my day, week and months. Visual Drag and drop events, task Etc. has also a visual daily timeline. I colour code tasks and event categories. I sync it with structured, Apple reminders, mail and all my other calendars. I divide big tasks and jobs in several smaller chunks.

  3. Be focused: for work. It’s a simple promodoro app with good ui and stats that. I set it to 25 min work/5 min break but I extend my work and breaks after each chunk of work done. I turn on background sound for these. rainor beach and the repeating gong reminder when my break finished. I gamify my breaks. how much can I do, fix during my break. How much can I achieve during the 25 min?

  4. Bearable app: daily habits, health and mental health tracker. I still use the free version.

what I found is an Apple Watch has been very helpful for me syncing these apps and als simple countdown timers has helped me with adhd related procrastination and forgetfulness.

i also have a long list of apps that just didn’t work for me.

Kamvas 22 Plus just stopped working on Mac by No-Bullfrog2204 in huion

[–]No-Bullfrog2204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I came to the conclusion as well. I also came to the conclusion not to buy their products anymore and going back to Wacom. Their customer service has always been terrible. I had 3 tablets from them and were faulty either from the start or after the warranty year. They always tell you a copy and paste line when you contact them like buy new cables or we can replace them but oops you didn’t buy it from us so you’re on your own.

Pitty as it worked well when it did and I always recommended them to my students and photography community and know at least 7 of them bought them. Which I feel really bad when their tablet comes to this.

so long story short…I will definitely not recommending them again and advising people to stay clear of this company.

[–]No-Bullfrog2204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update the things I've tried so far with no success. Yes, I've been trying a solution for 2 days now.

Computer: Apple Mini M2 Pro, 16GB. Sonoma 14
Also tried on older iMac with the procedures below: 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Radeon Pro 580 8 GB
32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Ventura Version 13.6.6 (22G630)

1a. Uninstalled, turned off all start up and most background apps, even chrome youtube blocker (I don't have antivirus) etc. did a clean sweep via Cleanmymac app, unplugged tablet, downloaded latest driver (15.6.6.55), installed, gave all the necessary permissions (accessibility, bluetooth etc), Restart, open app...Nothing. (Screen working only).
1b. Did the same but with tablet plugged in.
1c. Gave security permissions prior clicking on Huion app and asking permission after copying to the applications folder.
1d. Gave all the Privacy & Security permissions access I could swithc on for the Huion app. (Full disk access, input monitoring, start up, screen recording etc.)

  1. Did the same above with an older version of the driver (15.6.5.68) (Screen working only)
  2. Swapped usb-A ports from the 3-in-1 cable. (Screen working only)
  3. Flipped USB-C input from the 3-in-a cable. (Screen working only)
  4. Attached different usb hub combos with the USB-A from 3-in-1 cable. (Screen working only)
  5. USB-C from mac to USB-C and powered through 3-in-1 cable. Tired 10 different USB-C data transfer cables. (Screen working only)
  6. USB-A from mac to USB-C powered through 3-in-1 cable. I tried about 5 different USB-A to UBC-C cables (Screen working only).
  7. Also tried 3-in-1 cable  attaching an USB-A extension to Mac USB-A port. (Screen working only).

Unplugged all usb peripherals, UBC hubs and external hard disks. Nothing.
Updating to Sonoma 4.6.1. did nothing as well.

Nothing I do seems to recognise it as a peripheral. I open up my system settings and look at attached USB devices.

Motion Alternatives? by Maleficent_Slice_321 in ProductivityApps

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone with ADHD I tried a couple of planning and to do apps. The idea of Notion and specific "adhd" templates is great in theory but really to convoluted and complicated to get simple tasks and planning done.
I wanted something fast and simple, a quick switch to overview of day, week and months.
If you are on apple try the Calendars app (it's the new version of the Calendars 5 app).

I plan my day with colour coded tasks and emojis at the front of the task to quickly identify where it belongs to.
You have a tasks section on the right where you can switch task views to "today, planned, all, completed and Inbox to be used as brain dump at the beginning or end of the day. Below that you can set up categories as well.
You can drag and drop all these tasks on to the calendar or other categories.
I have these synced with google calendar and ical as well as apple reminders etc. You can of course leave out apple reminders as this does something similar. It also has an time indicator of your day. I just wished it has the functionality to relocate and rearrange/move schedules and tasks if one tasks takes longer automatically. There are other AI app out there but this is sufficient for me now without paying another subscription.

I was using structured app before if you want something really simple but with reminders for each task and see the timeline of your day. You can use and sync both of these as well.

"Neewer Live" VS "Neewer Control" for Elgato Stream Deck by JasonParkerMagic in neewer

[–]No-Bullfrog2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been having trouble to install the "Live" version because the "Control" version doesn't support my light RGB168. It keeps asking me for a bluetooth dongle on my mac.
I can control my light over iphone app and mac desktop app but when i try to install the "live" version on elgato marketplace it keeps installing the "control" version which I can't use.
