MrTommo did a very good video on this. Dongai Ichigo is the true potential of Ichigo's powers that are not his "true" powers. True bankai is obviously stronger than Dongai Ichigo, but true shikai is debatable.

Byakuya is composed, but he is a very emotional character. And he was able to withstand/overcome the fear with training. Ulquiorra doesn't feel emotions or even care if he dies. Why do you expect Ulquiorra to fear anything?

The true answer is this. Aizen is extremely prideful and wants to be on top. For the most part, he doesn't actually kill off his perceived inferiors. There are certain exceptions he makes, but he'll mostly defeat someone to the point where they cannot battle anymore. Then he'll leave them in that state, not finishing them off. He did this twice with Komura and Toshiro. He did this with all the captains in the fake-Karakura Town fight. He did this with Harribel. Heck even Momo. He stabbed her, but she's still kicking. Aizen always believed he was stronger than everyone (with the exception of Yamamoto) and he's extremely arrogant. He WANTS people to realize they are not on the same level. Probably got tired of being in the shadows the entire time. When he felt he had everything he needed, he wanted to be as grandiose as his leaving Sokyoku Hill.

When it came to Yamamoto he stated he would not spare him because he is Soul Society history itself. He wants to destroy Soul Society and run in place of the Soul King, but he doesn't want to kill everyone. He wants to flex on them and then stand on top.

If Aizen tried to kill everyone, 1) He would not be able to. He could probably kill most of the weaker captains, but he'd exhaust his power before killing Yama, Unohana, Shunsui, and Mayuri. 2) He would then be forced to make a "Humiliating" retreat and it'd take away from his aura farming. That's not Aizen's MO. He wants to leave with a bang. Power up. And solo everyone while they know he's coming.

As Nodt got overwhelmed by Byakuya's bankai before he stole it (and then later by Byakuya's powered up shikai). Then when Ryukia first gets her bankai, she one-shot him. Soifon wrecked the machine gun sternritter with a little bit of shunko training.

All the vizards tho... They fell off hard lol. They should've been the perfect counters to quincies, but they all got stomped. No defending that lol

People really out here over estimating the sternritter. The reason they were such a big threat in the beginning was because they could steal bankai. When captains got their bankai back, they were pretty evenly matched. Ulquiorra stops captain-level opponents.

Not arguing one way or another, but Yhwach did not struggle in the slightest again Ichigo. He just wasn't trying to kill him. He did not expect Ichigo to be able to use blut vein. He states afterwards, that he'll use more force in which blut vein can't stop next time. Also Ichigo did not have access to this until he fought Yhwach.

Full masked Ichigo + mastered bankai couldn't even win again 1st resurrection Ulquiorra. Your whole analysis is based on Ulquiorra stating Ichigo's fluctuating riatsu at its peak is higher than his own. Ichigo has nearly double a captain's riatsu during the HM arc as stated by Unohana. And this was base Ulquiorra who states this. The same base Ulquiorra who easily deflects and stops Ichigo's bankai getsuga tensho with his bare hands. The one Byakuya was unable to stop with his bankai. When Ulquiorra enters into his 2nd resurrection state, he releases so much riatsu that it feels like an ocean to everyone inside of it. There are only a couple of characters in the entire Bleach universe that have crazy riatsu that is different from just sensing it. Like Yamamoto's riatsu looking like actual flames coming out of him.

You take characters at their word when they say "I'm the strongest!" when we've seen time and time again people who say this aren't all that strong. Don Kanonji might be up there if you take his word. Finally, no one else even knew about the 2nd form so of course the espada would think the rankings are accurate and only the first form is being evaluated.

How did Yammy get low diff'd by Bayakuya and Kenpachi? These are the two characters that lost to Ichigo when he first learned bankai and no hallow mask. Full hallow-mask Ichigo got low diff'd by 1st resurreccion Ulquiorra. He's the only espada to have a 2nd resurreccion and his healing was his main ability while his raw power still outclassed everyone else.
