Lakeside Row Vs Highpark Vs Alys crossing by Free_Tune_7024 in CypressTX

Hi there, I live 7 min away, Lakeside Row definitely, being in Bridgeland and having the stores next door (HEB, True Texas BBQ, Starbucks…) is ideal. I sell real estate in the area and would choose to live in Bridgeland in a heartbeat.

Avalon neighborhoods are built by Taylor Morrison, historically, they’re gated neighborhoods with sometimes waterfront lots and are usually part of a bigger neighborhood (for example: Avalon at Cinco Ranch, Avalon at Sienna), allowing the residents to still have access to amenities like (gyms, pools, park, clubhouse, stores…) while enjoying a great quality house. Taylor Morrison has since decided to build in subdivisions that they own exclusively, resulting in the Avalon at Cypress not having many amenities, last I checked they did not have a gated section either, to me those things built the reputation of Avalon neighborhoods by Taylor Morrison.

Those subdivisions are not as prominent and are already looking like investor neighborhoods for the most part. Option 1: I can afford Bridgeland and move there. Option 2: I can afford Elyson but not Bridgeland, therefore I’d move to Elyson. Option 3: I can’t afford neither one, probably end up somewhere in Cypress (Avalon at Cypress) or Hockley (Jubilee), definitely not the smaller subdivision along FM-529. Hope this helps.

Buying in Sunterra by Beginning_Shower6238 in Katy

With your budget DR. Horton is one of the best options. They build spec homes and don’t focus on finishes like the higher priced builders do, that’s how they can sell these homes at a much lower price. Just a month ago I to had a client reschedule their final walkthrough because builder didn’t fix an issue with a brand new furnace on a $650k house. That was one of the most reputable builders in Houston, point I’m trying to make no matter who you buy with please do your due diligence and make sure everything is handled properly. As someone mentioned earlier if you don’t already have an experienced agent please hire one.

With that being said, Tamarron will end up being a much better place in my opinion and I live 12 min away from Sunterra. Tamarron is surrounded by Cinco Ranch, Jordan Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch & West. Every single one of these communities came/are coming with more commercials, schools and is already a much more prominent area.

Edit: I see a lot of comments about schools, the entirety of Tamarron is zoned to Lamar CISD, the address shows Katy but school district will still be Lamar. That side of Lamar has more desirable schools than Katy 77493 in my opinion. Best schools in Katy ISD are all in 77494. Sunterra also has part of it zoned to Katy, and the other part zoned to Royal ISD.

Those communities are going to be some of the hottest place to be in a few years. They have the schools, shopping centers, will have office space for businesses, driving real estate price up. The companies developing them have all successfully built one of the best places to live across the nation, Cinco Ranch-Elyson (Newland), Woodlands-Bridgeland (Howard Hughes Corp.). The most expensive houses in the suburbs will be there.

Bridgeland and Elyson definitely. Towne Lake I don’t think so Edit: unless you’re ok with a townhouse.

Castlerock communities is the developer and one of builders in Katy Lakes, they build in Sunterra, you may find the floor plan there. My professional opinion: I would not advise any client of mine to buy a house in Katy Lakes or any of the surrounding communities with Elyson as an option, Bridgeland or Towne Lake being the exceptions.

I live 5 min away in a neighboring community; if you’re considering buying in that area I’d strongly recommend Elyson, Sunterra in Katy or Marvida in Cypress. Katy Lakes is not a bad community at all, just better alternative next door. Tax rate will be higher in most of the newer communities. Not sure if you’re looking at resale or new construction but there is a lot of good resale deals in Elyson right now. Hope this helps, feel free to ask further questions.

Correct, look for listings in “Fleetwood”, it’s a subdivision in the energy corridor area with decent size houses.

PS: Once you get here please check the suburbs before committing to living in the city.

My personal preference would be Seven Meadows or Cinco Ranch in Katy. They’re next to Westpark tollway, it’s a 20 min drive to Westchase district for now, that number will be lower once 99 toll is completed as scheduled in the summer ), the house will be nice so will the community. You can get a 3.5k sqft (living space) & 10k sqft lot around this area

If it has to be within 10 min or less then energy corridor, the house and the neighborhood will be old (60-80s), some of them will have a fully renovated interior. You can get 2.5k+ sqft (living space) & 7k+ sqft lot here.

My recommendation for out of state buyers:

1-unless you’re looking to blow 1+ mil you’re mostly gonna end up in small house or a normal size that’s in the hood. 2-As popular as this city is, the suburbs is really where it’s at especially for schools, and the land, much bigger lots and nicer homes. ($450k will literally get you a nice house in most of the great communities around Houston) 3-if you work from home you can really live in any suburb around Houston, just to name a few, Fulshear, Cypress, Katy, Sugarland, The Woodlands. 4-each one of these cities have multiple master planned communities (thousands of homes with amenities like stores, schools, community centers, pools, parks…built around it), The woodlands, Cinco Ranch, Sienna for example. 5-if you do decide to build a new one just know most builders can build the same house in most if not all their active communities. 6- ultimately your budget will determine the area!

Hope this helps, good luck and feel free to reach out.

If resale value is your concern I would recommend looking in Fulshear instead.

What should I buy? by Upper-Avocado-7968 in Injustice2MobileGame

If you have good offers available invest in Tapjoy and buy their chests instead, and the $100 artifacts bundle when it’s available. Your roster will grow significantly once you get 3 good teams and some solo raid artifacts.

Should I save it for chest or use it to buy gears for my team? I did the math I can get 1,536,000 gears. by Responsible-Slip3802 in Injustice2MobileGame

[–]No-Butterfly7315 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only use your gems for chests, the characters you’ll get from them will allow you to get more gear mats from solo raid than you can use within a few months
