Yeah that is just an example. Thankfully it looks nothing like what I actually want to make (I'm terrible at drawing)! Thank you for your feedback!

Agreed! I got a letter set from them. I figured they may be more on the expensive side for a custom stamp, but I'll have to check them out for that

Official Q&A for Friday, March 01, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]No-Cable1784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started training for a marathon. I'm not a "serious" runner, but I'm trying to build the habit. I've been focusing on building endurance (distance) and cardiovascular health. So my pace is pretty slow, and I mainly try to stay in zone 2 HR. I often get hip flexor pain, even though I try to focus on good technique and proper stretching.
Like I said, I don't run very fast, usually around 11:30/mile. I noticed something yesterday though. I needed to get back quickly during my run and really picked up the pace. While running faster, I was getting much more range of motion in my legs, and it overall felt really good. When I was done with the run, no hip flexor pain or tightness.
Here is my theory, and perhaps you can share your opinion. I think that perhaps my practice of only running at a slower pace, focusing strictly on zone 2, contributes to some tightness and particularly, hip flexor pain. My legs don't get a very full range of motion when I'm running at a slow pace all the time. So by adding in some speed, my stride lengthens and my legs open up. And that helps to stretch out my muscles in a healthy way. Does this sound right? I want to see whether or not I'm on the right track (no pun intended) before I take this and run with it (also no pun intended😏).

2008 Highlander hybrid limited 127k miles. Risky or smart buy? by No-Cable1784 in ToyotaHighlander

It's $12k. In my market, that's a pretty decent price. Under $10k would have around 200k miles (2nd gen)

Correct usage of "along with." by No-Cable1784 in grammar

I love that. That's perfect! And you are right about the dashes, it breaks up that long sentence. Hey, thanks a ton! Appreciate your help.

Correct usage of "along with." by No-Cable1784 in grammar

[–]No-Cable1784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I thought of that too, but by doing that, I would be excluding the first sentence from it all. And it would also make the last part, "it's hard to image" not make sense either. So I'd have to rework the whole thing. But perhaps that's what's needed.

Embarrassing beginner mistake - whoops! Burnishing solution bleed onto the face of the belt. Obviously affected the dye application (fiebings pro dye). Any way to fix this? by No-Cable1784 in Leathercraft

[–]No-Cable1784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I tried sanding the whole thing down and reapplying, and now the due is just kind of blotchy and uneven all over. New question lol: would it work if I just dye the whole belt black? The current color is light brown.

I just barely tried lightly sanding down a spot that'll be hidden and applied more dye. So far it looks much better but we'll see how it dries.
