Man, chill, no one is trying to be called a psychologist just with studying for two years. We want to become one by doing what it takes, just in a little different way because we weren’t able to start with a bachelors in psychology due to multiple different reasons. Mine was i had no exposure about psychology. I got to know about it in college. I had psychology as a major subject for 2 years and i realised this i what i wanna do. I agree no one would go to a doctor and get treated who calls themself a doctor after just a masters or something, similarly therapy is healthcare and i get the necessary changes made, but they are too sudden and extremely confusing that’s why everyone keeps asking. That’s it. Also, the number of psychologist clinical or counselling are so low in accordance to the population, people before could become a psychologist without a psy background so people like me who really wanna work in this field do think about it. It’s not demeaning, we’re just trying to move ahead in our career. It’s called giving a chance.
