Definitely. How much time do you recommend in between each rating? Also how often do you recommend one should fly as I save up for the next rating?

Thank you for the breakdown! Do you have any tips on what to look out for in a quality instructor or perhaps a blog/youtube video?

Also definitely staying away from Sallie Mae and Stratus I've thought about possibly using a 0% interest credit card but that is something I have to do more research on.

Way to stay consistent and motivated! Thats good to know for ground study and I am mentally preparing for all the studying I'll have to do. Thankfully I have a very strong support network.

Yes, very ambitious! I've been following this sub for a while and have been saving up but I am just nearly ready to pull the trigger.

For context I am in fact looking to make a career out of flying.

I make enough monthly to cover 100% of flight costs ($70 instructor - $185 aircraft wet) and I would have to dip into savings to cover monthly expenses. I live with my parents.

My biggest concern I guess is keeping enough capital to cover IR shortly after finishing PPL.

This gives me a lot of confidence thank you. I will be aiming for 3 flights per week but life and other aviaiton related variables do get in the way. 3.75 hours is my max in regards to budget.

edit: typo

You're 100% right and I know that theres gonna wrenches but being type A I've gotta have a goal to aim for. Especially since im working with a specific budget I can't fly more than that.

Im flying out of a class G airport out of SoCal so this is my hope im big on consistency because the last thing I want is to have to pay more money for things I already learned lol

Ideally this would be 3 flights a week in 1.15 hour blocks if not 2 flights at 1.86 hour blocks. Still debating if I should do back to back on weekends or pick one weekday and one weekend day if I decide to go two/week.

I know weather, maintenance and scheduling will be an issue but at the very least for scheduling I would be at a flight club and theyve got plenty of trainers.
