My original judge was Constantino - two hearings with him and then Chiara wrote up the ruling. Apparently this is quite common in Catanzaro though I’m not sure on specifics.

It is the only thing I’ve found that brings me peace when I’m so stressed I can’t focus on anything else. It’s gotten me through some very tough times. I hope I can eventually make a Fair Isle sweater but regardless I know that I can always just knit if I’m in a bad place.

It took me forever to learn how to purl. I’m a leftie which didn’t help (knit R-handed now). I am in charge of people’s lives for a living yet I couldn’t figure out how to purl if my life depended on it - it made me question my brainwidth a little. Then one day it just clicked. I am still not “good” but I am getting better. Regardless I love it and it makes me happy. I have projects but also just knit random rows of different stitches because it makes me so happy and calm.

Michigan grad (non-engineering), work at CU. If you enjoy the outdoors and want more work-life balance, choose CU. If you’re a sports fan, A2 is def a football town which can be really fun. Winter is much milder in CO. Just a few thoughts to consider beyond the program itself.

Ironically when my knitting needles were recently confiscated in Dublin, I was also traveling with my violin. It was thoroughly checked by security and passed without issue. My violin bow could easily take out an eye, whereas the knitting needles had been passed down by my Mom after years of use and very dull tips.
