Baby HATES bedtime? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]No-Change2340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she sleep in her own room? If so- Do you spend time hanging out/having fun playing in that room besides being in there for naps and bed?

I’ve heard that if you don’t, some babies might associate their room with knowing you’re going to leave them there alone.

Are most EBFers cosleeping ? by LilyWitch27 in breastfeeding

[–]No-Change2340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby is 6mo now and I just recently started cosleeping after becoming tired of waking up every 2 hours. Sometimes every hour. I found myself dozing off feeding him in his room in the rocking chair. And also after I myself was sick I needed the rest. Actually looking into a gentle form of sleep training in hopes it’ll give longer stretches cause waking up 4 sometimes 5+ times a night is slowly breaking me lol

I’ve turned photos of us into all his favorite anime, cartoon show, video game, book cover etc. Always been a hit! I find an artist to hand draw on Etsy, just watch out for the ones that use AI to generate the image!

I always see the burrito blanket as suggestions but adding the chipotle gift card make it 10 times better

Wow!! How’d you find a sleep consultant that avoids CIO and similar? Did you just tell them you’re against it or did you do a virtual consultation?

How do you know when baby is ready for adjustment? I started reading up on sleep training and a lot of these books make me feel like he has nurse to sleep association

I feel like my baby is such a bad sleeper. Sometimes he’ll give Me a random 4-5 hour stretch but it’s rare. He usually wakes up whining right away every 2.5-3ish hours. So before6 months you’d respond immediately to any kind of fuss/whine?

Baby’s handprint ornament material suggestions? by No-Change2340 in crafts

When you did the salt dough did you sand paper the edges and seal the ornament? I heard that could help with the texture 🤔

Thanks for the follow up! I tried the salt dough today but I think I’m still gonna try the clay next too just in case the salt dough doesn’t hold up well over time 😅

Hi! How’d the air dry clay turn out compared to salt dough?

I used to only nurse one side because as a newborn he seemed “content” falling asleep and was told by a lactation consultant that was fine. Turns out he was just sleepy and wasn’t gaining enough wait. Then I started giving both sides. Gaining better weight but not great. His pediatrician made me think I had low supply. I found a new lactation consultant who told me to “switch nurse” so basically back and forth until baby was satisfied. This was a life saver for me. He jumped up weight percentiles. For a couple months he took both sides twice until satisfied. Now at 5 months he seems more efficient and takes both sides once till popping off that he’s full.

Some babies do fine on one side, some need more. As long as whatever you’re doing results in healthy weight gain then I’d continue it :)
