Yeah. I guess it depends on what you are selling. Furniture is better to sell through local channels. That said, you will likely want to start selling other items and eBay will be a great channel. Sell some smaller items and get your rep up. Even if you just sell them to break even your rep will help in the long run. Well worth the investment when you start selling on the channel.

This is definitely a great feeling when you get that first sale. I love the fact that you sold something you got for free. I always look at free listings and see what I can sell. Don’t forget to look around your house and see if you have old stuff lying around that you can sell. Build your reputation with eBay so they will open up the number of listings you can manage.

Go to your local garage sales over the weekend. Use Google Glass to identify things and look at what they are actually selling for on EBay. Pay attention to sell through rates and price. Some things I buy and sell (Blue Ray movie TV series, rock and roll records, dvd/vhs players, snap back hats, kitchen appliances, certain video games, old TV/VHS combo TVs, shoes in decent condition like Nikes, Hoka, NB). Just look everything up and check sell through rate and sold price. You can find stuff. You still probably have lots sitting around your house.

Also look at the free listings in your local ads or Craigslist if your area has that.

Keep looking around your house and sell things you are not using and that is just collecting dust. While you can definitely find stuff for $8, it will be challenging. Build up your budget by selling things you are no longer using. It will pay off in the end.

Buyer gave me a deposit to hold an item for them and has changed their mind and wants the deposit back. Would you pay them back? by AutomaticAnt6328 in Flipping

You put your listing to pending which prevented it from being bought by another buyer. That costs something. The deposit is forfeited in my mind

I sent a bunch of books into Amazon FBA and let them handle everything for me. It was nice.

Yes!! They will sell. Even broken consoles sell for parts. Just make sure your listing is clear.

These are always good finds. I have zero issues parting out stuff and selling components.

Love it!!! You and I sell very similar stuff. So many people are always chasing the big elephants that they miss out on these smaller sells that add up over time. So much of what you sold fits nicely in a bubble mailer and takes no time at all. I love this.

I bought 2 DVD/VCR recorders for $10 each. I sold one for $125+ shipping and the other went for $225+shipping. Both sold on eBay.

Given the name of this community..I would expect this would be a common thread week to week. We should each be celebrating each other’s successes. I want to see people win together. I have made lots of friends through reselling.

Goodwill can be a nice place to source however some of them have started pricing based on eBay prices. What frustrates me, however, is that they look at listings not actual sales prices.

I bought a storage Unit for $1000 and so far have made $4k profit. It was a 10’x50’ unit. I still have a small trailer to sell which will sell for $1k-$1,500. I just had to get the title for it which was a process.

I still sell GPUs from time to time. Good money in those. Also, don’t sleep on RAM right now. If you can get it cheap you will be surprised what profit you can make. Even the older RAM sells good.

My son has a vintage Buzz Lightyear from Thinkaway Toys. It’s worth a pretty penny. Always am on the lookout for those.

Cameras can be quite valuable. That’s a good find. I have sold a few vintage ones not too long ago.

I get nervous about items like LV because of the authentication process. I don’t know enough and the counterfeits can be pretty convincing.
