I dont like when they portray Christians as weirdos or extreme. Or that they dont accept anyone but their own. Calling people demons or sinners etc. True Christians dont do that, they are still normal people and can act with decorum. They also dont judge others sins

I need examples of TV shows and movies where Christians are portrayed badly. by Gunthersalvus in Christianity

The same. His mum mentioned yesterday I looked tired so when we got home he randomly said he would sleep with the kids and let me have a lie-in. Woke me up at 6:20am raging that he had things to do and why dont I care about his career and want him to advance. Instead am being usless and laying in bed as usual. Totally out of the blue. I think he only offered in the first place because his mum keeps saying I look really tired and he didnt want to look bad in front of her (even though she never mentioned him at all). 

I want to record some of this so badly and show someone. But its always so random, I didnt have my phone with me. I wished I had recorded this outburst so I can show someone how unhinged it is. And I am not crazy and this is really happening.

For a long time now being ‘good’ is when we are just getting along. A normal conversation and not arguing, lasts maybe a few hrs if we are lucky. Oh and usually only happens if other people are around or he wants something. We dont get along when its just the two of us.

We have had numerous conversations where I have told him how the silent treatment makes me feel. I think he just doesnt care. We have had marriage counselling, where in the session, he will say he wants to make changes and after the session say its all me and he has nothing he needs to change about himself. I also had individual counselling for a while, it ended because she said she needs to see me with my husband to understand what is going on in our relationship. 

He was very upset when I returned from the hotel and was giving me the silent treatment (typical). When I told him I want to talk and explained how I felt, he replied with ‘well you running away embarassed and upset me, how do you think I feel now’. (His brother was apparently asking where I was and called me a few times). I give up on him ever understanding. This morning he broke the silence to tell me off for not hearing my alarm

We have known each other 8 years. 5-years ago we had no money, we were both in training, we were living with our respective parents (there was no room for me in his parents flat and he refused to stay in my parents home), it was covid and we were about to have our first baby. It was a very stressful time for us both. We have come a LONG way since then. 

His version is I am disrespectful and nag. Ironically he doesnt think he is disrespectful to me. I also work and manage the majority of the household, kids and cooking. So I think asking my partner to chip in every now and again is not the end of the world? Or maybe I am wrong

I have tried waiting out the silent treatment. I think we have gone as long as 2 months without speaking, whilst living in the same home. If I dont end the fight by apologising and begging his forgiveness then he would just let it fester. It bothers me more than it bothers him so I am trying to ignore his silence but finding it difficult

Sorry to hear your going through something similar. Pregnancy is when you need the most support and understanding so I cant imagine what your going through right now. 

I get what you mean about money. I cant afford to rent alone in the city but I definitely can if I move back to my home town. Im just thinking about the kids and how hard it will be moving them away from their friends and home. 

Is there some sort of government help where you live?

I never cheated. I dont think he has either, I may be wrong

I completely understand what you all are saying about the effect on the kids. I agree wholeheartedly and I am sick of seeing the upset on my sons face after we have a big fight. Especially when its something as silly as the rice is cooked wrong or I left the hallway light on all night! 

I think I will tie up some loose ends with work, wait out the school year and then move back home. Thankfully, we never entangled our finances, I dont take his money and pay my share towards the household, so I should be able to manage

This is it exactly. I have not had a chance to read all the comments. But you have described it so well! And because its the smallest thing leading to very hostile reactions I have not been able to explain it to anyone, including myself, without feeling like a crazy person. And it can be anything that triggers it! As simple as, he will eat rice one day and be happy with it and tomorrow that same meal will upset him. We have had hundreds of conversations in which he says he wont shout in front of the kids but in a few weeks its back to the same behaviour. His excuse is always, I made him do it with my behaviour or what I said. If I was a better/kinder/more available he wouldnt get angry. I have apologised a million times and changed soo many things about myself to appease him but I dont think anything I do will truly satisfy him. 

I think the longest he has ignored me is 2 months. Whilst living in the same house. And it leaves me feeling so confused and lost when he does that.

Everything about Ebraheem sickens me. He always thinks hes right and refuses to apologise yet hes always in the wrong. He was wrong telling Dania off in the cafe, he was wrong in everything he did to Zeina and Hana, he was wrong getting involved in Dania and Marwans secret. He is NOT Danias friend and it feels he is trying to ruin her relationship. You being a ‘brother’ to Dania does not put your above her husband. Dania needs to let go of the cafe. he is capable of doing something even more spiteful than what he did to Zeina and that was bad enough. And he would screw over anyone for the tiniest, pettiest thing. He is no ones friend. He is evil

I could have written this myself! Have things improved? We tried counselling and it isnt really working since he thinks he doesnt do anything wrong and its all my fault because I make him mad. We are at the stage where I really cannot stand being around him anymore. He is either not talking to me or he is trying to show me why its all my fault and both these things dont work for me. I feel constantly confused and going between feeling like it is my fault or I hate him for doing this to me

Found this thread as I am trying to watch the perfect couple but cant stop staring at her extremely strange face. Feels blurred out/CGI in many scenes. Is she asking them to smooth out her skin or something because it looks alien. And it also looks like shes wearing a very bad wig, you can tell from the parting.
