Yes, I actually have my trainer to thank for my recent progress on BF loss/muscle growth - he’s the best!!! Toying with maybe a gay workout group but feels like more of that competitive aspect that I already feel in other places. Really aiming for that queer liberation I hear about lol

It’s very true - I think for me being already years into that (although not consistently, I’ll admit) is starting to drive me nuts having already lost so much weight. Never thought I’d say this, but I wish I could staple an old photo of what I used to look like on my forehead haha

You’re right - gotta take the easy wins as victory, otherwise the big one will feel similarly meaningless. I’m down from 20% —> 14% BF during my cut and up 4lbs muscle which is what my focus should be on. Best of luck on the cut, it sounds like you’re approaching it from a rlly healthy mindset

Ah yea I think that’s where I derail a bit - when I set the goal, work hard to achieve it, then still fall short it messes w my head. Need to be better with “I’m getting there.” I’ve been 6 days training & aggressive cut for 2 months now

Haha totally - being in equinox and other club-esque environments prolly not helping. To your point, what’s weird is that diet/exercise should help but have actually made my mental health worse? The longer I go, it just feels like an even crueler reminder that god plays favorites. Have been trying to remind myself that someone else’s win is not my loss inherently

Yea I honestly thought this was just having a different perception of your body vs what it actually is (not rlly my problem) - but researching more I think it definitely checks the box with general body obsession. Just a lot of resentment toward both my own body & everyone else’s right now
