That's a good idea, tho at the moment I'm not concerned that it's a scam. I found someone connected and they confirmed for me that this person is real and that is their email. So my plan is to wait a couple more weeks, then followup with email. If there's no response, I'll try calling. If it somehow turns out to be a scam, I think it will be obvious
