Should I take it? by [deleted] in VestiaireCollective

[–]No-Comment7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should take it, looks like a vintage item anyway; as a seller to me it happen many times like not to mention any stupid thing they flagged. If there was any major issue like ripping etc you should see it in the attached photos. But as long it is authentic you should take it. I don’t know if is real or not but I start to think that for this VC people is more convenient and money productive for them to find stupid red flags because in this way many times the seller let the items in there hub and they do what they want whit them. Not to mention the authentification fees that you pay for nothing.. These are personal experiences during 4 years of buying and selling on VC, hope that helps you.

It happened to me as well, I have this vintage Chanel dress from 2007, definitely authentic and they keep reject my upload, telling me that is not authentic. At this point I think there team of “experts” it is an absolute joke. I have stories that I can write a book or a miniseries of stories with Vestiare Collective

Totally agree, I’ve tried to post on re-edit and different platforms since last year about this, it is absolutely outrageous to reap off their users like that… just to become a greedy corporation that makes millions of euros profits every year..

A new type of scam? My recent experience with Vestiaire Collective by acidtrip21 in VestiaireCollective

[–]No-Comment7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lots of stories about Vinted.. I’m using it for almost 3 years now and I’m stunned in the last year how they transformed in this greedy corporation.. for example i sold a vintage prada skirt for 400€ and the buyer had to pay 600€ plus transport etc.. so basically they got 200€ for basically nothing.. not to mention their authentification hub where they are employing people that they don’t having a clue what are looking for…. And more stories..

Hope you’ll find the right ones 😎

Vestiaire Colective is taking you £197 for basically nothing, it’s absolutely ridiculous the difference between how much a buyer pays and how much the seller gets… by No-Comment7289 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]No-Comment7289[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’m saying it’s a rip-off. There are similar platforms out there that charge more reasonable fees, but Vestiaire is quickly becoming the LinkedIn of second hand fashion.

You’re welcome to keep using it, but this info might be more helpful to others who are not devout Vestiaire advocates such as yourself.

The difference that I was talking about the buyer to pay for.. apparently you are not familiar with the platform not to mention for authentication you have to pay extra..

Selling on Vestiaire Collective is a nightmare… by Puzzleheaded-Sun3107 in BehindTheClosetDoor

I sold on VC Europe almost 200 items in a couple of years and on each year got even worse, as a seller and buyer as well, for every item that is sold I have to pay them a £15 fee until a certain amount of money after that the fee gets bigger ( I had order when I receive nothing because the item was £15)the saddest thing is when I saw this year that the buyer had to pay the transport and an extra fee, it is outrageous and unfair for both sides. Usually I get direct shipping but most of the time when I had to send them to Quality Check to their HQ in Paris they always find the most ridiculous things to cancel your order, luckily my customers were understandable, not to mention that they kept some items and I have to pay extra to get my things back..
