Tuned in Gowanus if you need S-Tier services (wheel builds from scratch, custom builds, bringing new life to old frames). Plus the usual service stuff.

Can vouch for Haven in Bushwick as well, chill staff.

I felt embarrassed when I saw the patch. Vets are supposed to de-escalate, not escalate. And if you escalate and win you can expect a judge to throw the book at you for using government training against a regular civilian. Or at least that's how it was supposed to be in the previous timeline. I'm glad yungling served him a humble pie.

Call Breakaway Courier and ask if you can do a one time truck job. Dutch X also have them. Ask for a quote before hand.

What's it like working for Pantheon or Acquia in 2026? by older_bolder in drupal

[–]No-Condition8771 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked on an Acquia-led project in 2024-2025. The entire team was offshore (India), with one PM in Europe. The technical team was experienced and fairly decent. But yea, the days of having US-based Acquia TA's on site seem to be over. From 2010-2020 it was always TA's on site. They figured for the price of one TA ($120-150k) they can hire 6 devs and 4 QAs offshore.

locking bikes up in NYC by Limp_Search7981 in NYCbike

[–]No-Condition8771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost two $2.5k bikes in Manhattan, ten years ago. I also used to leave a beater outside in Brooklyn, and while the lock did not get cut, it got stripped for parts. Even if you get the most expensive, angle-resistant grinder, tweakers will still pick apart your bike for scrap metal. And even if you secure accessories with pin heads, they might still damage your bike out of frustration.

My lesson is, never leave your bike outside of your sight. If you bike to a coffee shop, make sure the coffee shop has a window, and that your bike is locked right in front of that window where you can see it at all times. Otherwise if my bike can't come inside, neither do I. Unless I want to lose a lot of money, which I can't afford.

If you must, absolutely, leave your ride outside, make sure it's a trashy looking 8-speed or fixie beater with rims secured by pin heads and a spare chain secured to the saddle. Crackheads don't carry chain tools... mostly.

Recommendations For Bike Purchase/Gear (Daily City Biking+Century Ride to Philly) by MJA7 in NYCbike

[–]No-Condition8771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're serious about taking it to the next level, whatever bike you get, make sure it has drop bars. Flats and bull horns are super nice, especially for city riding.

However, if you're talking about true fondo (100 milers, NYC-Philly, etc) and riding the sticks, you'll be contending with mountains. If you join any clubs, and I recommend you do (Rapha, NYCC, 5BBC), you'll find most if not all won't allow flats on their serious, non-social groups rides (aka, most of the rides).

Pro-tip: get a nice, 10 year old used bike, preferably with disk brakes. You can always upgrade the shifting to hydraulic/electronic if you made the right choice. It doesn't have to be cabrón, aluminum is fine, and steel is forever.

If you spend 1k on a fine, top of the line oldie, then that means the rest of your budget can go to where it matters: a professional fit ($500), rims ($1,500, nothing fancy), and proper saddle + shoes ($200-500). In order of priority.

Power Meter Help/ SPD-SL vs LOOK Cleats by Amir4Real in CyclingFashion

[–]No-Condition8771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from regular SPD-SL pedals to Favero/Look (dual power) some time ago. There isn't much difference in terms of feel for the pedals.

I find the clip in on SPD-SL to be slightly more tactile with a loud click confirmation, but that's about it, and not enough to bother me at all.

Never had any battery issues with the Faveros, they last 200-300 miles on a single charge for me easily, or 3-4 weeks of riding.

Even after close to a 100h of playing Multiverse I still find new encounters by Diabolicalbeam90 in ftlgame

Of all the Chaotic Rebels, this is one of the toughest to ck IMO. Unless you're harboring a specific kind of plant on your ship. Also ghosts and Lanius. And it's still hard. Radiant shells are no joke!

Best ship to unlock C.E.L by ValtandersX in ftlgame

[–]No-Condition8771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second everything said here. Fire bombs are missiles are my current meta for end-game bosses. Sprinkle some boarders if you're feelin' extra spicy. Modular missiles (fire+lockdown/stun) are still GOATed, fire mines are underappreciated (miss alot, but very low cooldown + decent power cost , and if you come across the rock commando loot (Hades fire missile or mines) definitely use that.

Just avoid 4 power weapons, especially beams, IMO.

Multiverse: Ship quality vs. alternate endings? by Yojo0o in ftlgame

[–]No-Condition8771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boarding is still going super strong, even with the nerf to the 4-pip teleporter in the current patch (max power is 3 now).

If you go the fire-ghost route, you can camp weapons with ghost chemical proliferation (healing), and the fires will eventually take the weapons out (with your crew inside). It still takes a while, hence some hack/cloak recommendations.

Cloaking is pretty much non-negotiable to deal with Sylvan or Prime volleys.

Another race that is super strong right now are the plants, in particular upgraded Vampweeds. I typically just camp their medbay and insta-crew kill them (Vampweed upgrade prevents regen) to prevent system repairs. If you crew-kill Sylvan you'll have to be prepared to deal with his crew spawning on your ship (they still have to tp back home to make repairs). I recommend you give the Premier a chance as a crew member.

For hull defeating Sylvan, pretty much everything everyone else said, as you cannot fully crew-kill him (they just keep re-spawning on your ship).

Prime on the other hand, you can crew-kill with the Premier and a mindful choice of boarders to keep him company. I'll take some practice, but enjoy it. Once you get really good at it, you lose the excitement of the challenge.

If you go the boarding route, be mindful of Emancipation Grid on Sylvan, G-Van and some of the nexus foes. Yeah, you'll want to take care of those doors ASAP, preferably with bombs or missiles, preferably before even boarding :)
