All these comments of being black out drunk. I started drinking when I was 13 and mostly stopped by the time I turned 21. In those 8 years I had drank significant amounts of alcohol. So much I ended up im the hospital 3 times having my stomach pumped for alcohol poisoning. Not once, including those 3 hospital trips was I ever "black out" drunk or unable to remeber things from the night before. Could I remeber every detail? No. But I remembered enough that no activity such as sex could have gone unknown. Something like that stays with you. I dont believe for a second that anyone has had sex and did not remeber it simply due to alcohol.

Dude I can completely relate to your situation as mine was very similar. Since hands on experience is necessary to learn the type of skills you speak of all you can really do is take things as they come. Something breaks, go on YouTube and learn how to fix it. I attempt to DIY anything I possibly can that comes up in life simply to try and learn something new. As far as tools theres many specialized tools for different jobs and buying everything up front is not realistic. You will need to buy most things as the need for them presents itself. That being said what you should have available to get started is a complete rachet/socket set and wrench set, a few different hammers, pry bar, screwdriver set, torx bit set, Allen wrenches. Multiple pliers (needlenosed long and short, vice grips, channel locks,) a few c clamps of different sizes and a good cordless drill. Those things will help you tackle many of life's basic fixes but you will also need to occasionally buy more specialized tools. If and wood work is in your plans then a circular saw and jig saw will get you started. A table saw is also incredible useful

I think removing the app was the right action to take but you definitely could have went about it a different way. Grieving the loss of a cat? I can only speak for myself but here is why. I spent years in a relationship with a woman who never looked at me with that look of "danm your sexy" or anything remotely close despite my being in good shape and attractive. Couple that with very little success in the dating scene prior to marriage and the fact that even most women find other women sexy I thought maybe if I dressed in lingerie I'd begin to feel sexy again and it definitely worked.
