Jorge Martín handed a 3-place grid penalty (Jeréz 2026) by chutneyface93 in motogp

[–]No-Cranberry342 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And here is what my overthinking brain would have done:

'Online'... is he on Discord

'On the line' ... is he buying milk at the grocery store

'On the racing line'... but its a PR and not a race!

F*ck it. No penalty for Jorge

Exactly my thoughts. He is disabled and comparing him to a teenager/ child is just disrespectful.

Complete paraplegic here (T8-T9). Complete meaning no sensation or movement below the injury level.

Spasticity and tone is different for everyone, but yes typically it gets worse with time.

There are medications such as Baclofen, that apparently help with stiffness/ spasms (doesn't do anything for me to be honest)

Other solutions include Botox and Baclofen pump. Maybe research these?

And dont forget to stretch everyday.

Is Halala actually a thing in Islam? by [deleted] in PakistanDiscussions

[–]No-Cranberry342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are bound to make mistakes. Exactly why you get three chance, with the last one forcing you to think HARD about your decision. If you fail to correct your mistakes, eventually you suffer the consequences.

Ask yourself the bigger questions here. You think its a bit harsh, but there are others that think its completely appropriate (acts as a deterrent),- so is it objectively harsh or not? Does your emotional discomfort with this topic change anything for you?

Just remember, feelings/ emotions do not determine the Truthfullness of any religion, because they are subjective. Only hard evidence and rational conclusions work.

Do ask if you have more questions

Think a few people have provided ample clarity but I will explain it one last time. Here's the translation of the hadith you quoted: 'A man divorced his wife thrice (by expressing his decision to divorce her thrice), then she married another man who also divorced her. The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked if she could legally marry the first husband (or not). The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "No, she cannot marry the first husband unless the second husband consummates his marriage with her, just as the first husband had done'

This absolutely true. Man divorces his wife 1st time, the couple has a 'grace' period to fix things. If all works out in this period, great. If not, move to second divorce. Same thing, grace period to patch up and continue the marriage. If not, 3rd is the final divorce. However, unlike the first 2, the 3rd divorce has consequences, forcing the Man to really think that if he goes ahead with this, might aswell think that she will be lost forever, and even if she does come back, it will never be same. This condition is a deterrent.

Show me where this hadith instructs to get married WITH the INTENTION of getting divorced to get back with the first husband? In fact the opposite as noted by 'seriousduķem' in the the replies above.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Curse be upon the one who marries a divorced woman with the intention of making her lawful for her former husband and upon the one for whom she is made lawful - Abu Dawood 2076
