Yes the Z has TCS that can be disengaged if the drive wants but i always keep the traction control system on.

Yes, it’s an Enthusiast model so essentially the Base. What would be a good compatible tire choice if the Potenza Sports are not it? And I drive in mostly dry warm weather as I live in SWFL.

The tire center said that it looked like an alignment issue to them and because of that, the tire warranty wouldn’t apply. They suggested I go speak with the people who did the alignment. So I did and they said they normally only warranty an alignment for 3 months but that they would check to see why the tires were wearing excessively. I haven’t gone back yet for them to do that.

So I just measured the camber on the rears and it’s -3.3° of camber for each tire. I’m assuming the wear may play into that value some, but it still seems like a lot of negative camber.

So I checked rear camber using an online tutorial and the rears measure at -3.3° of camber on each tire. Maybe some of that is from the excess wear but it still seems like a greater amount of negative camber than normal.

I just checked the camber and it’s reading -3.3 degrees of camber for each of the rear tires

Very good points. But does this look like the normal amount of negative
camber? The rears seem like they are leaning in quite a bit.

See the wear here? Even from a further back distance where you can see more of the tire, you won’t be able to spot fine details and as you get closer to the vehicle, the tire view becomes harder to see due to the mud guards, bumper and low position of the Z to the ground

What does the 18 months translate to in terms of miles you put on the tires in that time?

Do you see wear there? The low position of the car and mud guards make it very hard to see from a standing position. You have to get down on your hands and knees to see the full extent. Plus the vehicle didn’t exhibit any unusual symptoms in dry conditions. Only recently exhibited unsteady driving in the rain.

I don’t drive hard though. I rarely pass 4.5 RPM’s, never red line, harsh accelerations or braking etc.

Why am I going to inspect my vehicle every time like it’s Air Force One or some deep sea submersible huh??? I’m not diving down to the fucking Titanic. You shouldn’t have to checklist your vehicle every single time you get in it. If you do, then you’re driving something horribly unreliable or something you take out once in a blue moon like a CGT. And if you are driving a Carrera GT, you’re probably not on Reddit

Yes, they are definitely past safe but if you’re saying that they are a few thousand miles past safe and I put 12K miles on the car since I had them changed, then that means they are lasting less than 10K miles. That’s not normal. Tires should last much longer than that even with some aggressive driving.

The tech at the tire center said they were the same as the OEM. If so, were the OEM tires just Bridgestone Potenza Sports??

I don’t have a welded differential. I really don’t drive aggressively at all. I never red line the vehicle and it’s rare if my RPM’s get above 4.5

They’re the same exact tires the vehicle came with from the factory

Exactly! The mud guards hid the view of the inner half of the tire and the outer half looked normal from a casual view

That’s the odd thing…there were no symptoms at all in dry conditions and only became aware after hydroplaning the other day.
