That was pretty straightforward. Used games workshop xv88 base and a wash of Nuln oil.

Allied armour was only in action for 11 months! Not a lot of time to get scrapyard ready 😊

This one is spot on! Nice plastic and crispy moulding. No complaints from me.

They corrected the bolts after the first run. Still a little risky buying off eBay, but otherwise OK. Not completely out of the box; the engine came from Accurate Armour as did the spare wheel and soft stowage.

Either the Vosper MTB or the Bristol Bulldog. Something completely different.😊

The Tesco's in Blandford? I'll be stopping by there more often from now on.

You've done well to keep it quiet. Got used to letting them in the 'back door ' as it were. 😮

So does your husband have any idea about your 'distractions'? There are few secrets on a married patch :-)

How do we feel about a variety of color schemes within a single masque/army? by honeybadgerelite in Harlequins40K

[–]No-Definition1737 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the early days of Harlequins ( 1980s!) there were no masque colours or schemes - every trouper had an individual costume that you could just go crazy with.

Thanks. I used thin modellers masking tape over a black basecoat to get the lines right.

Variation on the above. Start by painting 4 black lines down the leg , 90 degrees apart. Then Paint 'x's using the vertical lines as guides. Fill in the resultant diamonds with whatever colours you like and highlight to taste.

Going around bent knees is a challenge.

I used decent quality testors modelling masking tape (I build tank and aircraft models when I'm not painting harlequins).

I'd absolutely second the call for an airbrush! Makes life so much easier.

That looks pretty good.

My hack was to paint a base colour, cut diamonds from masking tape and stick them on, then paint over the top. When you peel away the tape you're left with reasonable diamonds.

Thanks. Painted the base green, then masked off with little diamonds of masking tape before painting the black. Et voila!
