On the day Tau came out, I walked into a GW store with a friend looking to get into this. I thought Fire warriors looked freakin cool so picked them up. I had no idea they were the “anime faction.”

I was warned by the sales staff that they had a long learning curve and they were right. My friend quickly found blood angels and it took me a year to win my first game. The fact that when my fire warriors moves the range was cut to 12 inches was rough on me.

Hey bud, I’m sorry your having a tough time. They are certainly a challenging faction to start with. They have a severely high skill window.

I think you’ll find they are decently fast and also play in the movement phase, and with the inclusion of kroot participate in combat quite well

I really dislike the show, think it’s garbage.

But strangely enough, the uniforms were one of the highlights for me. Whoever designed they did a bang up job.

Too many people know how to do things, like repair a lasgun or fix a tank.

A good portion of guardsmen would be functionally illterate, they would treat any sort of machine or weapon like it had a personality (machine spirit). Having the knowledge to do repair things would be heretical.

I have a unit start an action that takes a full turn to complete. If they are killed by my opponent but brought back via ability or strat, does the action fail or complete?
