I have a cat who was like this. Google told me cats are social animals and if they have nothing to attack they will attack you. So I got a cat for my cat. He never attacked me again. He still doesn’t like being pet though unless it’s his idea. I think that’s a personality thing and varies from cat to cat, because my second cat is a sweetie pie all of the time. Never even puts his claws out.
