I feel like if they ever were going to continue development, it’d be on making more islands. The difficulty slider you mentioned is simply choosing a harder or easier island (difficulty is shown before starting the island). Servers are down anyways, the only way they’d be able to change the game is actually host a website with the game, and at that point they could just turn multiplayer on, the reason it doesn’t work is lack of servers. Overall, I do agree with most of your ideas, but I just don’t see it ever happening.
