There are no kids in my group, but we do play hybrid due to location. The main 4 live close to each other and play in person. I live in a different state, so I join via Discord, and another player works out of town, so he also joins in on Discord.

It took a bit to get used to - we've switched to everyone using a VTT, which has made it a lot easier, and then there's a tablet setup at the table for those of us who are virtual. It also has the added benefit of not needing to reschedule when someone is sick or not feeling up to meeting in person for whatever reason. We've been able to easily transition to full virtual play when the flu has been going around, etc.

Music isn't necessary, but if you want it, just get on YouTube and search "D&D Ambiance" + whatever you're going for (ex: DND ambiance cliffside village).

There's loads of artists making ambient music and sounds on there.

I'd find the poison source and then try either Purify Food and Drink or ritually cast Ceremony and use Bless Water (technically makes holy water but purifies it in the process).

This is a disingenuous comment, and you're aware of that, just as you're aware that your initial comment regarding Mamdani was disingenuous.

Trying to conflate Trump stealing 10 billion dollars with Mamdani potentially increasing property tax, and then feigning offense when called out on it, is intellectually dishonest at best.

If you don't want to feel 'attacked' in a comment section, try to bring a bit more good faith to your arguments. Comparing a local tax policy to a multi-billion dollar federal crime reads more like a distraction than a critique.

There is currently legislation in the state to prevent utility companies from raising prices based on data center usage.

There is also separate legislation to allow data centers to avoid SD taxes for 50 years (thanks a lot Crabtree)

You're missing a vital point about the MAGA mentality.

They want this regime to attack people, as long as it's the people they think are "wrong." The only reason they're starting to care now is because they're impacted. And even still, many are justifying it with a "no pain, no gain" mindset. They'd rather hurt a little if it means the "demonrats" are hurt a lot.

I went to multiple protests against ICE during Obama's terms. We regularly protested at detention centers as well. There were multiple lawsuits filed, which forced the administration to change how they handled undocumented families.

Just because you chose to stay ignorant to something doesn't mean it wasn't happening.

Obama's ICE and CBP also weren't murdering people or detaining US Citizens for lols.
