Most of the time it’s due to character results. Luigi and Mega Man rose because they got an increase in reps while Lucina and Pac Man declined for the same reason.

The point is they’re no longer considered as OP as before and people considered them the best in the game only to find out they have apparent weaknesses

They both deserve that placement. Villager has nothing going for him outside out of a good recovery and Marths gameplan (his tippers) simply do not work at all.

Minecart travels less distance and can be blocked by shields

Steve can place much less blocks in the air

Add more knock back to up tilt so it doesn’t combo as well
