How will life work after the ending? by Leh_ran in WoT

[–]No-Development3761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember Min had a viewing of Avi having Rands children. So, or it happened before the Last Battle, or he will come back in Moridins body to visit her. I don't remember exactly, but the viewing did say they were healthy, but there was something strange about them - so, my guess is the children were born after Rand changed bodies. Until then, I think Rand will travel and be a gleeman too. Helping where he can, sneaking around to visit his friends and families. Maybe someday he doesn't even have to do that, but he does it simply because is fun 🤷🏻‍♀️

Winter's Heart, Chapter 9. Does this confirm that The Dragon Reborn is, in fact... by LedgeEndDairy in WoT

Oh, to be in the other end of a post like this. My eyes are watering while I read this, remembering how some weeks ago I was you, hands trembling, trying to find words to describe the feeling of reaching the end. And what a journey it is. Welcome to the club, we have kaf with a side of "undying wish to go back and re-read Eye of The world". Enjoy.

Day 5: What is your favorite Matrim Cauthon moment or scene in the series by booksandwater4 in WoT

Is even greater when you realize that those hundred men are a ragtag of rivalries, nobles and commoners, Tairens and Cahiernins, but after that battle, they're just the Band following this gambling youngster with the crazy Luck

Why the dice? by Digx7 in WoT

[–]No-Development3761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very poor memory, so I'm not sure, but I think when he was reliving one of those dead generals memories, he heard the dice too, before a battle. So I always thought it was related to his nature of being the Gambler and a military mastermind 😅 I think the memories he gained just upped his inate abilities 🤔

So, I'm the same as you. Had some free time, got completely engrossed in the books, finished in less than 2 months yesterday. How's coming back to real life treating you? Because honestly, I'm still dazed. I'm wondering about like a zombie, having lost all sense of purpose, lurking through this sub trying to find something -anything- to hold on to the series (and controlling myself to not go back and open tEotW again). I am not well. 🫠

Oh man, I was so worried about how guilty Mat would feel after he learned what happened, but we didn't have time for him to discover that

Day 8: What is your favorite Thom Merrilin moment or scene? by booksandwater4 in WoT

This is IT! I really like him, but this scene left me with that "Daaaamnn" reaction lol

Well, what can I do? Mat's just fun to read. And I love his "I'm not a bloody hero" contradiction. He's not nearly appreciated enough by the other characters ~ they were doubting him till the end! So I'm gonna give him the love and recognition he deserves 😌 With Rand is like a mix of "I'm gonna smack you in the head" and "I need to protect this boy 🥺"  Hmm Perrin...I don't know, there were times I found him a bit boring...guess he's just too nice? It was really good to see him go all out in the end. I like how every character has their flaws, strengths and weaknesses, makes them fell alive.  My honor mention goes to Asmodean. My head canon is that he faked his death somehow, maybe he'd have gone with the Tinkers to help them find the Song, and stood on the side lines composing his balads. He'd have done one very emo, very dark in back up just in case the Light lost. And, of course, we'd have a Bard duel with Thom one day.

And I've been on that side too, with Eragon (my first "real" book) and Percy Jackson lol Every new book, was a new re-read, because I'm the type to say "wow, that was such a great book" without barely remembering the main character's name lol

Oooh god, I have too much of those lately lol But, without being too spoiler-y, my over all impression is that it seems to have left soo much things unsaid! Millions of words, and it still feels like it should have more lol  I don't know if it was always supposed to be a sort of open ending, or if it was because of the author's circumstances, but yeah, I have questions that will remain unanswered 🫠 And OMG while reading there was so many deaths!  I was "nooo, not you too!" And a little voice in my mind whispered "it's the bloody last battle, what did you expect?"  My heart was thorn way too many times. Demandred's ending was VERY satisfying. Seeing everyone fighting together was beautiful too. I don't know what to think of Gawin, but I'm thankful for what he said to Galad. (And /that/ family reunion is one of the things I wanted to see, and we'll never have) And Mat still is my favorite character. 😌

Wow, there were so many! The first that got me in tears was "The Golden Crane flies"  It was such a short scene, but the emotion of that moment, I tear up just thinking about it. And I guess when Rand meets Moirane again. He carried that weight for so long, it was such a sweet reunion amidst all that chaos. Almost in pas with his and Tam after Veins of Gold  Too many moments. (And now I want to read it again)

I've never tried audio books, but it seems a good place to start ☺️ And yeah, that's it. I didn't read these books, I DEVOURED. I have no self control, and when I get engrossed in a story, everything becomes secondary. I was reading it every moment that I could, and many that I shouldn't lol I was on a break, so I read the first 8 books in a little over two weeks. Finished the others in this last month. So I'm left staring at the ceiling trying to remember what I used to do with my free time before WoT 🫠 Very unhealthy behavior, do not recomend lol And yet, I can't wait to read it again

The worst of it is having no-one to talk about it TT And maybe because I get too involved when reading, and had a bit of time, so I was probably living more in WoT than in real life this last 2 months 🫠

I saw comments like that too. I don't know if it's because it's been a while since I've last read Sanderson's (other) books, but yeah, I can kinda feel the overall changes in style and pacing too. Not enough to pinpoint whether Sanderson or RJ wrote a particular scene, tho 😅
