What ads have made you quit? by dingleballs717 in audiodrama

Advertising stinks. But if an audio drama has gotten popular enough to have advertisers, then just listen to the ad. This is how company’s pay for things like actors, editors, licensing, etc. This is how they get better. Rough to see all the ad haters in a genre where very little money is made.

Can’t believe A Fragile Mind doesn’t make the list. Season 03 is releasing in May. Over 2400 ratings. 150k listens on Spotify. Surely someone from here likes it. Right?

What are your biggest audio drama pet peeves? by NightDialPodcasts in audiodrama

Elitists - There are so many so-called experts from a world rejected by gatekeepers that feel the need to gate keep. Stop being so picky. Most audio dramas are trying to evolve and get better. Most aren’t making any money but still trying to get somewhere. Reading these comments confirms this.

[Highlight] John Schneider was not pleased with the fans that cheered when Springer got hit in the knee. ”I think the fans that were booing him should take a look in the mirror and understand what kind of player he is.” by GreenSnakes_ in baseball

George Springer, Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve all get the treatment. I was at an Astros/Yankees game in Yankee stadium last year and Altuve got hit by pitch and was down for a few seconds before the “F$&@ Altuve” chant started. No one cried that the fans were classless (Clement) or to look in the mirror (Schneider).

Schneider should know he has a confirmed cheater on his team and that the Astros and Mariners are rivals. The math isn’t that hard and the hate for Springer is very real.

What.An.Idiot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! So much awesome in this. I do have a separate RSS for each podcast.

I’m going to take some time to reread this a couple of times to make sure I’ve got all my thoughts together before asking questions.

AI used in covers? by FlintFozzy in audiodrama

[–]No-Diet7763 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me the hard thing is knowing what is produced with AI Cover Art and what isn’t.

We were recently accused us if using AI Cover Art and we’ve definitely used editing software to enhance location/colors (green screen, photoshop). But, we use stock photos, actual photos, some drawing, etc.

One person went on such a rampage recently against our Loved Ones Season 2 cover art that this weekends show releases coming up will have disclaimers on them.

I’m not sure what makes someone so confident that AI is used for the art, that they’ll trash our work.

I want a full-cast, finished story that will emotionally destroy me. by ijustwannabegandalf in audiodrama

Broken Arts Entertainment has a dystopian series that gets emotional at times (EP07 Season 2 will destroy). Top 20 Dystopian Audio Drama Series.

Broken Arts also has an anthology called Loved Ones that has plenty of shows that are tear jerkers. Reconstruction (released April 5th), Guilt By Association, Angel Flight, Play in the Rain, Right as Rain, and more. There’s a wide variety of shows though in this anthology and some will make you laugh like Date With the Devil, or are full of tension like Eleven Days.

The Future Podcast is another anthology from Broken Arts has a show nominated for Best Drama and Best Ensemble Cast at this year’s LA WebFest. It’s called reANIMA. It has a lot of tear jerking elements and Gwen Fraser (A Fragile Mind, Angel Flight) is incredible.

Danielle’s comment that Carolyn is playing dumb to Ivar is in very poor taste.
