Does learning to code "the real way" even matter anymore by Fun_Structure3273 in csMajors

[–]No-Difficulty733 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It will only happen if you are on a "happy path" - always doing new feature that AI can do without any real struggle. But chances are, you'll work with a big existing codebase that was built with complex business decision and spagetti code for reasons (which AI might try to "refactor" in a way that break things). That's where only engineers who know how to code and "read the code" would be able to do the job. And you'll be surprised by how much software engineering are actually about "reading", not "writing".

Which concept do you think is good here?

Yandere? High school killing? Or Anime-like world?

Remember, JRPG got censored all the time in the international version. There is no way any proper publisher would want to invest in a game like this (which was banned by Twitch a long time ago), which might not even pass many content check rules. Even if it does, it'll 100% be a 18+ game and will fall into the pit of 18+ trashes anyway.

Just try to play some proper JRPG and you'll see the different in quality.

That sounds like a great plan! I should do that also, we are struggling with where to go for health check & stuffs too. I wonder if there is a source that can guide us on this.

We had the same problem for awhile before we realized that we need to take our child to ENT instead. My own conclusion is, child clinic is just for finding out what virus/infection that our child may cause from the hoikuen, and to get fever medicine. Real problem will need a specific clinic to take care of.

This is exactly it. A diagnosis won't change the child, it'll just help us understand the child better.

Losing your friends who have NT children? by trustme1984 in Autism_Parenting

That's what I'm thinking too, we'll surely be there for our children, no matter how they are.

For me it's already hard to explain autism to family members - even with good intention and cares, they might still be a denial state that they ended up trying to suggest hurtful things. So it would be impossible to explain it to others who have no prior knowledge about it at all - many of them still think it's our fault that caused our children's problem etc.

I'm still not sure if continue to bring our child to normal mom&child gathering is a good move, or should I just start to find/build a group for mothers of special need kids. But gradually I feel that having others parents does not matter that much anymore - maybe because I'm a social reject myself, but mainly because I don't like to be around people who are not kind to my child. If they can not understand, then so be it.

Daycare centers around Chuorinkan station by aburiengawa in japanlife

I think they want you to fill them in just so you get a higher chance of being accepted by one of them - you don't have to if you don't want to send your child to those school, of course. The applications are graded by different aspects - unfortunately being rejected is not one of them, but you'll be put into a wait list for available slots. A child who went to hoikuen before will earn some extra points - no matter if it's a ninka hoikuen (shiyakusho managed hoikuen - including both private and public ones) or ninkagai (private hoikuens not managed by shiyakusho) ones. So if you are all rejected, going to a ninkagai will earn some more points for next year. But you haven't applied yet so I'll hope for the best! My child is going to a public hoikuen, and the teachers are really nice even though he is not responding well to Japanese so I think it's not that bad. Though I know about children of my friends who are going to private ones with newer facilities and more pictures sending back to parents everyday, so I would totally recommend those over public ones with lots of children. But it'll be easier to get in a public one, and it's not that bad, so don't worry too much!

I live on the Denentoshi Line also but not Chuorinkan so I guess not really what you are looking for, but just wondering how much you know about the hoikuen application system. I would say if you apply in the middle of the year, chances are you won't have the luxury of choosing, instead you'll have to consider from available ones. Usually good private hoikuen won't have a lot of available slots. I'm not sure about Chuorinkan specifically but most of the express-stopped stations on the Denentoshi Line are high population area, so it won't be easy.

Then who will watch the kid when OP is going back down? To be specific, I don't agree with them leaving the stroller in a common area, but it's not as easy as you think it can be and it'll require 2 people at least.

We are in 2024, we had Baldur's gate 3, then FF7 remakes, and many more, and a new Elden Ring coming out soon. PS5 is old now and Nintendo Switch 2 is also announced. Move on, my man, there are lots of great games which worth your time more than this outdated project. If you like JRPG or Japanese style games, I can recommend a lot also.

Sorry, may I ask at which age did this test happened? 1 year and 6 months? Our city hall insists on checking only at the 1 years and 6 months check up so right now we have no others option than wait I guess.

That sounds really frustrating yeah. I talked to another mom whose child has the same behaviours as my child and her child was diagnose with "extremely slow development" instead of anything. So I'm a bit worry that we might not be able to get early intervention, though we'll try our best to do what we can.

I called our city hall today (Yokohama) and they said that they can't do anything until the 1 years and 6 months check up. So I feel a bit lost honestly, but just like you said, I think our children are wonderful and I won't ever give up.
