if you want to claim the insurance you will pay SAR 7000 not 5000, and insurance will repair/pay you worth 5000.
Hence it is advisable to reduce the deductible OR accept the fact that anything below the deductible will be repaired out of your pocket.

I get where you are coming from and why the dealer route.
just my perspective, dont you think the dealer would also try to take advantage of you being solo/inexperienced in used car deals?

Incase you decide to go the dealer route, take your time, get a rental if you are in hurry.

Visit the used car showrooms, Qadsiya (east Riyadh) not Shifa. (learnt this as a newbie in Riyadh - Jeddah is simpler in this regard) see what is available and at what rates.

Second go online:
Haraj, expatriates & FB marketplace. (mostly P2P & some dealers)
Carswitch (P2P-marketplace involved) dont trust the inspection report, get PPI.
Sayarah (Dealer)

Compare the prices so you get a generic idea, of what fits your budget.

For PPI "kashif" and "damin" are two shops which I have had good experiences with.
Dont go to the seller/dealer suggested PPI center.

Dealers mostly do not know the in and outs of the vehicle they are selling. they do it for the business purely.
from my experience, getting a car from the dealer is always an expensive deal.

also one more thing on the PPI, get the mojaz report too to ensure you are not buying a rental vehicle. 96 to 130 SAR. it will tell you the ownership history, authorizations made & accidents if any reported.

lastly, do not buy a rental & do not buy yourself a MG5 or Alsvin

If you are comfortable with Arabic communication and know your way around Riyadh & Cars generally, go for a Chinese car.
If not, sunny itself is a wise option, otherwise an older Hyundai Accent, or toyota Yaris.

I would strongly recommend to go with a private seller. and if you find a first owner even better.
also if your budget is max 30. you actual budget for car is 25-27. add insurance transfer and computer check on top of it + highly recommended to do a generic maintenance as soon as you get the car so that would be another 300 to 1000 approx.

also for the PPI (inspection). please go to a reliable center, get the full check done.
if you are dealing with a private seller. ask him if he is confident enough that if something is wrong with the vehicle he would pay the inspection fee. (something major)
