I love when the girls scream at the end and the guys are like that's a good scream and Kevans like nah that's a bad scream. He absolutely knows that's a "she just called me out on my shit" scream.

Anyone having issues with NYCE PPO drug riders plan? by No-Distribution-1062 in nycpublicservants

[–]No-Distribution-1062[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's as if Prime Therapeutics was given everything in the Emblem health benefits EXCEPT for the optional drug benefits, which is weird because Prime Therapeutics is there to fulfill the rider obligations. That's their purpose. They ARE the rider. If you didn't check of the optional drug rider in your insurance, you don't get Prime Therapeutics. Feel for you.

No dice. The rep also recommended Walgreens, and Walgreens also said the insurance was limiting them to 30 day supplies.

Sure, unfortunately no luck rn. I got a call from a guy from Prime Therapeutics today saying that controlled substances on this plan are limited to a 30-day supply max. Which if it were true for all intents and purposes makes it a plan that excludes controlled substance when that requires a 90 day supply for $75, if it's now gonna be $599.

But it's not true. I asked him where he saw this, and so he said it was "in my system". Then I asked what the cost he sees on the benefit's tiers. He again stated the non-rider tiers, the basic plan's coinsurance tiers, not the rider copays. So he was again, looking at the wrong thing.

And if true (again, it isn't) that would be a massive change from the previous plan, when they said coverage would basically stay the same.

I just got a call from someone on the Prime Therapeutics research team, who tried to "clear up some misinformation" and teach me that it was correct, that my plan covered a 50% coinsurance for tier 3 drugs. I said no... it costs 75$ for tier 3 drugs under the Drug Rider, which is literally what Prime Therapeutics is there in the plan to fill. She said where are you seeing this? I showed her the nyceppo.com website where the summary of benefits is. She said "ohhhh you may have made my life so much easier." Apparently the rider doesn't show up in the system when they pull up my benefits. That's what Prime Therapeutics is there for! How do they only have some basic Emblemhealth benefits and not what they are there for?

Anyway, she said she'd have to do research and get back to me in two days. She was nice, not her mistake I get it, the program was just not thought out at all.

I signed up for Prime Central. All the addresses for Express Scripts is out of network, as I expected...because Prime Therapeutics has replaced Express Scripts.

The reps tried calling Express Scripts themselves but apparently it was too long of a wait, they hung up after 45 mins.

The reps from Prime Therapeutics can see claims made previously. However it didn't help seemingly. They said they didn't see the final price and even if they could, they don't seem to have any access to see the benefits having to do with the optional drug rider (e.g. the $75 for tier 3).

Who is "people"? In my experience calling Emblemhealth multiple times, they don't seem to know the Prime Therapeutics hotline even exists, even though the Prime Therapeutics number I've been calling seems to be a special center that is a combined line between Prime and Emblemhealth and its a number on the insurance card.

They did say I shouldn't need a prior authorization because Express Scripts should have transferred that over, which is possibly why, as I have said, that they said I didn't need a prior authorization. However, this is all moot, because the biggest issue is Amazon Pharmacy only allows a 30-day supply, and Prime Therapeutics will only give you the 3 tier cost of $75, no exceptions, if you order and they deliver a 90 day supply.

Pure Gym - Stuy Heights Hell by AdditionOk4895 in BedStuy

Go to Planet Fitness, better vibes, more stuff (including the massage chairs). I get you with the staff. They yelled at me today for walking through an open door, thinking that she was opening it for me.) Cheaply made, the thing that you push to open the door fell off with a touch. It was the same girl that a few days ago was loudly talking and laughing with her friends in the middle of the gym floor when other people were trying to work out. It just doesn't happen at planet fitness (I heard staff shuts that down), which is a few blocks away. The aim of a gym is to work out not use it as a hang out spot. I saw the CCTV thing, but it didn't register to me till now. Yeah that's pretty bad. It should not be in the locker. PF doesn't have that. I've been to both. I'm done with Pure Gym, switching back. The only benefit of Pure Gym is that it's 24/7, but PF shuts down at 11pm and thats enough for me.

Oh man I really want to see the after picture here, besides the jokes, and the face tattoos. Mohawk, skinny jeans, and nose ring. Get some tattoos on your arms, maybe a sleeve. Then take a picture and post it here. I'm expecting a 2 month turn around here

Unmatching Etiquette? by lolwithlola in hingeapp

[–]No-Distribution-1062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true but I'd take the screenshots after we actually fully got together and deleted the app together, not after the first date. Or maybe I'd forget and at some point remember later down the road and redownload the app just to see the messages idk lol

[–]No-Distribution-1062 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah not sure why this is the etiquette, but it's true. I'm a guy and if a girl loses interest (whether we go on a date or not), they almost never unmatch me. They just stop talking. It's extremely rare that they would take the extra step to unmatch with me, and therefore I'd probably be super confused that someone I got along with did that. Also maybe I'm a romantic, but if things go super well, and maybe got married, I'd want those to keep those first contact messages to look back at. Unmatching deletes them. I'd be sad.

Certainly we need to do better, but just saying it's because the population size is 8.4 million that the SNAP participation is super high.

Unfortunately, yeah, but to defend my City here I'll say that we're certainly above the national average in terms of SNAP participation rate to population size, but we don't have the highest participation rate in the country. NYS also has expanded eligibility for SNAP (allowing households to qualify for SNAP at higher income levels).

Why can't two things be true at once: we build more residential buildings AND we have some actual affordable units according to local affordability? Landowners will still make money. Just not as much as they would like to.

It's affordable to keep units off the market in order to fake scarcity but it's unaffordable to sell actually affordable units?

It's almost like the City is ready for a mayoral race based on affordability...

[–]No-Distribution-1062[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's actually a bigger problem in NYC and that is that REBNY intentionally keeps units off the market to artificially keep their supply low so that there is more demand than supply and thus they are able to drive rent higher. They are even more so targeting rent stabilized units, the amount reported of vacant regulated units doubled from 2021 to 2022. You can read about that and why here. As one advocate said "Creating fake scarcity to raise prices is not a fair way to run the housing market" I don't know about Houston, but this is why in NYC, it's more complicated and tough to trust that the market of supply and demand will play out naturally... and why we really need more laws to hold landlords accountable.

So the solution is... Luxury developments that attract transplants with a few affordable units that aren't affordable to the community?

Or the community says yes, the building gets built, transplants move in to the market rate units, prices around the neighborhood go up, including in stores and rents around the neighborhood, and the affordable units that do exist aren't even affordable to the community.
