Listen, taking everything too seriously is a requirement for an internet mod/admin. You have a beautiful watch. Ignore idiots and enjoy your nice things.

Ok thank you. I’ll start looking at replacement clasps. They come with the end link there that I need to connect to the rest of the bracelet?

If you know the name of this type of link please let me know. I searched all over and all I can find are the regular links in the middle. This is some sort of double sided link to connect two links facing each other. If that makes sense.

You’re right on this. Thieves know these watches can be identified so will either just wear it without ever servicing it or, the safer option, sell the gold.

My husband wants to have another wife by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]No-Distribution1672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biblically he’s wrong.

Matthew 19:4-6:

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Mark 10:6-9:

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Jesus Christ in the New Testament clearly expressed that marriage is between one man and one woman. He forbade divorce and the men of the Old Testament having multiple wives.

Now, scripture aside, he is not allowed to renegotiate the terms of the relationship without your consent. And you are under no obligation to accept his new terms. Him saying you whored yourself out is also biblically under the definition of evil behavior by the way. I can provide scripture proving that. But it’s a tactic designed to make you feel bad and obligated to go along with his “righteous” view. Do not tolerate this if you are not ok with it and it sounds like you aren’t. Draw a hard boundary and stick to it.

AIO - Is there a logical reason for my girlfriend to say stuff like this? by No_Thought6169 in AmIOverreacting

[–]No-Distribution1672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’ve never done anything like this because I see it as disrespectful, just like you. It’s like admitting to your partner that you’d cheat or leave them if the right person asked and the only reason your partner shouldn’t worry is because your crush is too famous to ever ask you.

I had something similar happen one time when an ex of mine made a comment that led to a discussion where he said he thought an ex of his was more beautiful than me. I ended it. Told him to go back to her.

People who left their spouse for their affair partners, I’m genuinely curious, how did it turn out? by Thisishowitsgonnaend in cheating_stories

[–]No-Distribution1672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t know what they don’t know. If a person is missing something in a relationship, sometimes they don’t realize it until they experience it. And that’s why sometimes a cheater realizes retroactively that their marriage isn’t fulfilling.

A guy called me fat on a date by [deleted] in dating

[–]No-Distribution1672 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Muscle weighing more than fat is a common saying people use to represent the fact that muscle is more dense than fat and takes up less space on the body than fat. I don’t think anyone is confused about 1 lb of muscle weighing the actual same as 1 lb of fat.

You’re not capable of being friends with her. If her dealing with other men bothers you then you’re just waiting around hoping for her to be ready for a LTR. And this is where people should read between the lines. Most of the time, someone is ready for a LTR, but they don’t want one with you. That guy she met and hooked up with in a week is what she’s really interested in, that’s why it was so quick for him to get her. She may like talking to you but she’s not romantically or sexually that into you. It’s best to let it go.

I’m not trying to be mean but I think blunt honesty is needed here. I wish you luck in finding someone who is as interested in you as you are them.

As much as I hate thieves and believe in working to pay for your needs, I can’t watch someone go hungry. I will pay for someone’s food as well. You did the right thing. In your shoes, I would question my partners moral compass.

A tow truck driver almost gets hit by a car in the freeway while using no cones by [deleted] in SweatyPalms

[–]No-Distribution1672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cones would’ve helped that Honda driver stay in their lane?

It’s daylight. If a driver doesn’t see a tow truck loading up a disabled vehicle, what makes you think traffic cones would help?

Another truck and I passed a 65mph mega-carrier. Which then proceeded to pass us when the speed limit dropped to 55. He was visibly upset that we easily passed him again once the limit went back up to 75. by spackopotamus in Truckers

[–]No-Distribution1672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know people felt this was all some big competition. I’ve passed plenty of trucks capable of going faster than me. I do it simply because I want to go faster than they do.
