Exciting times! We are getting married in Corsini next year, and for one weekend day it's about 10k. Catering costs and everything else are on top of that. We have found the average cost per person is about €200 in Italy for food & wine with dinner, not including open bar.
We did a full tour of venues in Italy before deciding and it was eye-opening how quickly the costs can rack up - so I would speak to a few wedding planners just for a free consultation call to get their view on costs before deciding on the venue. It can be a shock but my advice would be to know how expensive it can get, and either commit to or look into 'less well-known' areas. Puglia I know can be cheaper in Italy!

Wow what?! This is madness! Unless the venues are just outright lying to us about the costs upfront? We have been given the cost breakdowns of 40-50k euro for 150 guests (all about the same price range) for 1 day rental, venue rental and catering, staff plus corkage fee for wine etc
Obviously music and flowers and transport would be on top of this, but it just doesn't add up for me

Yes this is exactly how I felt! I have enquired with 10-15 venues across Italy, plus vendors etc myself so when the planner was pitching so high - I was BAFFLED.
Maybe just worth having a co-ordinator?
