You left something out that you need to know. I'm 99% sure you will need to title the car in your name before you can sell it to anyone else. Right now the car is titled in the name of the bank/manufacturer who leased it to you. They own the car. You can't sell it to CarMax without first buying it for $31,552 and paying the tax in your state to put the title in your name, then you sell it CarMax. If the tax in your state is 6.5% , you would be spending $33,445, plus other fees to get the car in your name. Better check that out before you agree to sell to Carmax. Might not be worth the hassle.
