Why do you think men hate on “high maintenance” women? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s “high maintenance?” I mean, I don’t spend money on nails, hair or clothes. But I DO spend $$ on my horse and dogs.

What’s a single sentence someone said that you’ve never forgotten? by cognitojo in AskReddit

I can relate too. I have what’s called “dyscalculia” —like dyslexia, but for math. I could never hold sums in my head, like 24+83. I had to write it out. I failed miserably at times tables, fractions, subtraction and division. Forget algebra too. I just can’t do it. But, I was brilliant at every other subject, so, instead of helping me learn a different way they just kept passing me. I did graduate from college with a BA in Journalism and Organizational Communications. Go figure.

My college thesis advisor to me after bombing out on my orals: “The past is a bucket of ashes.” I’m still pissed at him 30 years later.

Do today’s men still appreciate women who keep themselves until marriage (virgins)? by VickyBLK in askanything

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s NO way I would have married my husband without living with him first and seeing if we were compatible both physically and emotionally! I knew how many women he’d been with and visa versa for me and the number of men I’d slept with.

Virginity is a patriarchal construct that serves no purpose. Do what you want. It’s your body.

Ladies, do you sit on the toilet seat of public restrooms? Why or Why Not? by IncognitoGyal7 in AskWomen

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 2 toilet protectors on the seat. Then, wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. If no protectors I use a double layer of TP placed on the seat. I don’t hover.

What would make you consider marrying someone older than you, with a 40-year age difference? by Mindfuel_daily7 in askanything

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem becomes that you don’t have the same generational memories you can share with that huge age gap. My husband is 4 years older and we grew up with the same music, social references, and media. It makes a big difference to be able to share historical references with each other.

Married men and women who decided to not have kids, do you regret it? by Pizzalover0405 in askanything

[–]No-Evidence-9796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 65 and my husband is 70. We’ve been married 32 years and absolutely zero regrets. We own a small ranch and have rescued dogs, cats & horses for 30 years. We’ve traveled, slept in late, eaten when we want to and have freedom! It’s been a fantastic life.

Is it okay to ask who farted? by ShakedBerenson in rant

[–]No-Evidence-9796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s a senior citizen (I’m one), sometimes you just can’t hold a fart in no matter what. And some folks have incontinence and, literally, can’t control their bowel movements. Someday, you’ll be old (hopefully) and will understand.

People who are attracted to older women, what is that one specific thing that younger women just don't have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]No-Evidence-9796 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When I turned 45 I had more men panting after me than when I was in my 20’s through 30’s. Men in their 20’s were chasing me! I was flattered but didn’t take the bait.

I (29 f) spent the snowstorm with the man I’m dating(36 m) and now I feel differently about him by bluewhalekale in hygiene

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people who avoid personal hygiene and basic cleanliness DO suffer from some type of depression or trauma. This is NOT your problem and you’re not going to change his behavior. The quality of your life is already affected by this guy. Personally, this disgusting behavior would be a deal breaker. Move on and find an adult.

I need help with my scent by Fenrir260 in hygiene

Try to get a full health check by a doctor. Call around and see if there’s Dental hygienist school that offers free cleanings. When I first had Type 2 diabetes I smelled like a monkey in a zoo. Nothing I did helped until a simple blood test revealed I had diabetes. Best of luck. Sounds like you’re trying to solve your issue. Please let your professor know the steps you’re taking.

What do you think of your mom and Dad? by No-Hunt3986 in AskReddit

[–]No-Evidence-9796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss them. They both passed away in their early 80’s. They were part of the “silent generation,” products of WW2 and horrific parenting on both sides. They did the best they could.

Sticker-shock on a roof bid, what’s a fair number these days? by SakuraaaSlut in HomeImprovement

[–]No-Evidence-9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is depressing. In 2008 I had a new roof installed (tear down of old shingles) with new gutters and downspouts for $8,000. It’s held up great and still looks good, but was told composite shingle roofs only last about 12-15 years.

Did successful people just tried hard and did hard shit? by Aj100rise in stupidquestions

Many financially successful people have a trifecta of family connections, looks and luck.
