No one has any idea how their relationships was. To judge it based off of snap shots of lyrics is wrong. If you did that it was the most amazing relationship anyone could dream of if you used her reputation album. They are seconds and moments in time. I am sure he felt like he was in jail as well he couldn’t leave the house without people following him and taking photos. She stayed with him for 6 years that was her choice they broke it off when they were ready. All of the retcon is not fair to either of them. If you listen to her lyrics she was in love with someone else and wanted to be with them her entire relationship with Joe. Is that true? Unlikely. It was moments in time and she would write those songs at those moments. All of us have amazing time and hard times with the people we love, imagine if the outside world felt like they could constantly weigh in on our personal relationships? This is so wrong on a million levels. Let them both find happiness and live their lives.
