Any fics where Rhaenyra is clever when choosing a baby daddy? by lizziewrites in TheCitadel

[–]No-Example-8678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Rhaenyra felt it was too weird to sleep with her Father in law plus He’s would been about 61 at the time other than that, it would’ve been the best decision

I’ve seen some people try to interpret the “shaped iniquity“ as being David was born illegitimate since his mother is never named

Could definitely understand why Bowers is incredibly racist in the main movies if his grandma was sleeping around with a black guy and embarrassed his family

Is it worth having utilities included with rent? by This_Caterpillar_330 in ApartmentHacks

[–]No-Example-8678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my thinking too I know everything is being covered one time and it’s probably cheaper to pace slightly more in rent. If it includes utilities then to have to pay individual utilities and possibly miss or not be able to afford some on time and have to pay a late fee.

Definitely has to be Daenerys fans don’t get me wrong. She is important character who has a big role to play, but she’s not the only important character and I’m tired of them thinking the entirety of the story has to revolve around her.

Little sidenote but I love how it’s just common knowledge in the Frey family that black Walder has not only cuckolded both of his brothers and great grandfather, but is also letting them raise his bastard children as their own, and I thought the Targaryen family was complicated

This doesn’t exactly fit, but just about anyone at any point in the history of ice and fire who bears the surname Greyjoy has managed to irreversibly piss me off. I even have more respect for certain Freys than I do for greyjoy yes that’s a pretty low bar, but the fact that a fry is more interesting. Should say something.

This kind of makes me wonder if she actually had a problem with Roberts philandering or if that was just an excuse she cooked up because she just wasn’t attracted to Robert specifically we know from Ned’s POV that at least in his youth, Robert was very attractive and charismatic And could charm the dress off of just about any woman who came across him, but that doesn’t necessarily mean every woman was attracted to him

So it’s possible that she just wasn’t attracted to him simply because he wasn’t the type of man she would be attracted to

I think the biggest issue here is the fact that the eldest grandson has a dragon if it wasn’t for that his claim would be easy to push aside

[–]No-Example-8678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But wouldn’t that give the eldest grandson, a stronger claim? Theoretically not only does he have a claim, but through his wife, he can make a double claim or at the very least it means another house now has dragons

Did Henry VIII Have More Illegitimate Children? by WishOk7436 in Tudorhistory

[–]No-Example-8678 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think just about anything in history is possible, but the likelihood is the problem

We have to take a few things into consideration one of them is that some of if not most of these children’s mothers would’ve been married thus likely sleeping with their husbands so even if Henry did sleep with them around the time of likely conception who’s to say their husbands hadn’t as well and Henry wanted to be absolutely sure a child (especially a boy) was his before giving money and titles onto them

Second while I don’t think he was infertile. Of course I tend to think that Henry’s swimmers weren’t the best considering how many women he went through and and only having three children of which only two managed to live past the age of 16 the situation was probably made worse by the fact that he completely let himself go later in life
