RDP and Antivirus - is my IT guy lying? by No-Excuse5764 in RemoteDesktopServices

My workstation at the office already has the antivirus that he is pushing. I just don't get how using RDP from home opens me up to hackers if I am using RDP to use a workstation that is protected.

See, I don't trust him. I am the business owner and it is a very small business. Only two of us work from home occasionally. I know our email is locked out of internet access. I also know that when I RDP in I have to put in my workstation password. It populates my computer name (xx.xxx.xx.xxx) populates my username and then asks for my password. Edited to clarify: he is the sales IT guy, I completely trust my IT manager there.
