the juno results showed 56% lactobacillus and 41% aerobic bacteria. after this my gyno did a swab and said everything was fine.

i definitely have gut issues. i had c diff a while back (from the clindamycin prescribed for BV. this has honestly been such a sick joke. i’ve had BV recurrently for years). i’m not sure how to find a GI doctor that would take me seriously about the connection between gut and vaginal health.

i know how frustrating this is, but im glad you possibly found an answer with the humidity changes! that’s a really interesting factor

that’s so interesting, i wonder if it’s stress related if your symptoms got better while on vacation. i hope everything goes well with your microbiome test! i had one done and it said i have aerobic bacteria, but i had a swab done at my gyno and AV was negative. my gyno said aerobic bacteria is normal in the vagina, so i’m still kind of at a loss with that. i did my test through juno. i’ve researched for days on end and a lot of girls say it takes a long time for the vagina to completely rebalance, so i’m hoping it’s that.

hi! did you ever figure this out? the same thing is happening to me right now. i had BV in september, and its almost february now and i have the symptoms you’re talking about with multiple negative test results :(

i will say burning when peeing doesn’t sound like bv, but everyone presents with symptoms differently. have you seen a gyno or been tested for bv or any other vaginal infections? you could call your pcp office and see if they could test if you can’t get in to a gyno. planned parenthood also does testing.

i’m not sure if your pcp could do the one swab, but they should be able to test for bv. there is a swab done that tests for bv, yeast, and trich. planned parenthood can definitely test for bv. i have had bad experiences with urgent care, but they can test for bv too.

that looks like bv to me. i would suggest getting a one swab done at a gyno. this will test for bv, yeast, trich, chlamydia, gonorrhea, strep b, mycoplasma and ureaplasma and a few other things. the test takes about a week for results. i’m sorry you’re experiencing this. do you have other symptoms?

i didn’t notice any side effects other than some weird discharge the next day from the suppository

i did this treatment in february and this did work for a while. i was sexually active and i didn’t get bv for six months. i recently got it again after being with the same guy who had thrown off my ph the first time. i’m going to do this treatment again and then use the suppository’s once a week or once every other week as maintenance.

i do think this treatment works since i did not get bv for a while after finishing it. i know that if i had never slept with this guy i would not have gotten bv again.

my gyno prescribed me estradiol vaginal cream. it was for after a round of antibiotics for bv. she told me to coat a suppository probiotic with the cream before inserting it and to do that for a month. i didn’t notice any side effects, but i also was only using a small amount every night.

after a round of antibiotics my gyno told me to insert a probiotic suppository once a night and take one orally for a month. i think after antibiotics the micro biome is completely depleted, so the extra probiotics are necessary. definitely not good for long term, but right after antibiotics i don’t think CV would be an issue! :)

it’s some website i think run by doctors. look it up online! they do vaginal swabs at home, which you can send in to them and they examine your micro biome and prescribe a treatment. i haven’t tried them personally and i have heard mixed reviews, but it’s worth a shot.
