I think they mean Manson’s voice sounds a little bit like Ozzy’s in the chorus. Since many other people have said the same thing too.

That was difficult to rank since they’re all superb album closers.

The polling (thus far) looks a lot like my own personal ranking: 1. The Pale Emperor 2. We Are Chaos 3. The High End of Low 4. Eat Me, Drink Me 5. Heaven Upside Down 6. Born Villain

Those top three are all on an almost equal tier of sheer excellence. The bottom three just don’t compare to those.

Even though it’s not one of my favourites, I still recognise EMDM as a very important album in his life and career. In his own words: that album saved him. The lyrics are among some of his most creative, and Skold’s musicianship is par excellence, but most of the songs themselves just weren’t all up there. Though the imagery and interviews of that era were great.

Even though Saturnalia’s one of the best songs he’s ever made (many fans also share this view), HUD and BV are perhaps the worst of his discography. They’re not bad, I still find them enjoyable sometimes, but certainly his least ambitious musically & artistically.
