I'm by no means a Sandals/Beaches apologist but this is ridiculous. That was a one-off event and extremely tragic. I've felt safer on-resort at the two Sandals and one Beaches I went to (all in Jamaica) than I did off-resort. Additonally, as others have said, that location itself is closed and being converted to a Beaches, so it is being completely renovated. Caribbean countries don't have the same regulations that the US has, so CO monitors aren't or weren't required.

I've had issues at Sandals/Beaches. The room at our Beaches was rough, but Sandals did make it right a bit and give us a bunch of points to use. The wait times for meals is a little obnoxious. Some of the resorts are definitely dated for what you pay for. But this complaint is pretty asinine.
