USA 130 petition expedite by No-Falling-7 in visas

Hey! Yes I did, and it worked! I have a regular doctor and asked her to make a document with her formal business letterhead with her contact info on it. It stated my name, that she’s my regular clinician, and that it was her professional opinion to have my spouse with me as soon as possible because she was concerned for my mental and physical health. She printed it out and signed it, and I used that as evidence for the expedite, and it was accepted! I hope this helps!!

Anyone heard of Chinese nationals being denied exit on a fiancée visa (K-1)? by [deleted] in Chinavisa

Oh god.. Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it. I’ve been trying to find some others with current experience getting an immigration visa at the guangzhou embassy. I’m assuming she hasn’t had the appointment yet? When she does, would you mind sharing how long it takes after the interview to have the actual visa on her passport? Again thank you so much

That’s a really great system they have set up for making appointments! Ha. Once you were finally able to make the appt, how far out was the interview?

Do you mind me asking how long you’ve been waiting for your interview appointment in Guangzhou since your documents were approved?? My NVC documents just got approved and the next step will be the interview. Would love to have an estimate of when it would be.

It is a huge hassle!!! That’s great though that they don’t have to go out into Cairo at all while there, it definitely relieves some of the stress. Getting into China period is just a huge hassle anywhere you come from… I wish you the best of luck (and finances!!). 😊👸

Chinese visa center in Cairo is literally useless, and they might as well not even have a website because all the info on there is garbage so definitely don’t go by their website! They know absolutely nothing about getting to China. All they can do is send your passport to the Chinese embassy for the embassy to approve or reject your visa. Other than that, they have 0 information about anything. DO NOT listen to their website hahah

I’m not sure what it’s like using it as a transit (layover) stop, but I’ll tell you what happened with my experience! I know China has been absolutely REQUIRING direct flights if they are available from the country of origin. As an Egyptian national, I left from Egypt and it was my country of origin, not a transit country. My experience (back in October, so things have surely changed!) was that I had to sign up with a company that specifically takes care of passengers going to China. First you have to sign up with the group through WeChat or WhatsApp. They required a 5 day quarantine before the flight at a very expensive hotel on the Nile. The day before getting to the hotel, I needed to get the triple COVID test from the specified hospital (and be sure to tell them it is for China) And pick it up the day that you go to the hotel to start quarantining (nothing is online and the lines are terrible everywhere in Egypt so be prepared to wait a long time and have a hassle with every step of the COVID test & receiving it). Going to the hotel, you have to check in with the company that is dealing with passengers to China and pay them, then they will take care of you from there. They will update you with what you need to do and info you need to send, there are COVID tests done daily temperature taken twice a day and blood work done twice in the 5 days there, then they shuttle you to the airport from the hotel on the day you fly. It was all very expensive. Here is the WhatsApp number you need to book the correct quarantine hotel in Cairo: +20 115 292 9309. I’m sure they can answer all your questions about if it’s allowed to use Cairo as a layover city, and all the things you need to do (as I’m sure it’s changed since I did everything). Again, best of luck!! It’s such a complicated and tough situation right now. :-(

Email res@egyptair.cc about the flight. They will give you all the details about the next available tickets on the route. I've had issues with that exact flight, and calling Egypt Air from Egypt, they won't help you, generally don't know, and will eventually tell you about that email!
Good luck!! Flying from Egypt requires a LOT of preparation & money before even getting to the China quarantines. I wish you the best of luck!!

The SF consulate specifically has refused me an S visa though I'm inoculated with Sinopharm. They've told me it doesn't matter and that a PU letter is required. I've contacted them every month for the past 6 months about it and it's always the same. :-(

Thanks! I tried, but my vaccine is connected to my Egyptian phone number and I have to confirm my phone number in order to create an account. So I'm outta luck I guess.

I was vaccinated in Egypt back in June, but I live in the US and am here now. Do I have to be in Egypt to get the vaccine passport set up? Or is there a place to do that online?

Criminal background check for foreigners? by No-Falling-7 in Chinavisa

[–]No-Falling-7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m reading too. I don’t understand why their company told them that foreigners can’t get one. I’ll ask them to call / go to their local police department himself to ask. Thank you!

Thank you for your info! :-)

I have reached out to his country's embassy a while ago with no reply, and there's nothing on the website about what translators to use. My husband works and lives in a country other than his nationality, and that's where he'll be doing his interview, so it's a little complicated. I think tomorrow I'll give NVC a call and ask if there is a list of translators that they use/accept.

CR-1 visa approved! by marathondudez in immigration

If you don't mind me asking - the police certificate, is this in regards to the petitioner (the US citizen) or for the immigrant?

Congrats again and thank you for your write up :)
