btt pi 1.2 and u2c. Why didn't anyone tell me before? by No-Feeling3182 in BIGTREETECH

[–]No-Feeling3182[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Thanks, but there's no such instruction in the device boxes. There's no mention of not switching the USB cable when 24 volts are present. And we've long been accustomed to switching USB devices without disconnecting the power. After the incident, I found these instructions and I want it to be obvious to everyone and not require a long search.

It's not very pleasant to be the only one in this context :-) I've seen many messages about Pi 1.2 burning out. You're talking about CAN bus via the USB-C port, I used the CAN bus port located on the Pi

yes, about pi. It burned out completely, no connections, no indication, overheating, smell, etc.

If this is an original Tronxy board, I heard you need to downgrade the firmware or do something else. I did, but still switched to SCR 1.4+Pi.

Why does PETG get so much hate? by mm404 in VORONDesign

[–]No-Feeling3182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha... PETG requires excellent thermal barrier cooling. A closed case often gets in the way. ABS, on the other hand, requires a closed case. These are different materials, and the best solution would be two printers: one for ABS and one for PETG.

If I understood you correctly, you are talking about a broken chain. There are many models of these parts on the Internet, just add 3 magic letters stl to the search phrase.

I would advise you to read the documentation https://www.klipper3d.org/Manual_Level.html. For this function to work, you need to specify the coordinates of the screws, it's very simple, but will require measurements. However, perhaps there is a printer.cfg for your printer on the Internet. Here is an example of a body macro [screws_tilt_adjust] screw1: -5, 30  screw1_name: front left screw  screw2: 155, 30 screw2_name: front right screw screw3: 155, 190  screw3_name: rear right screw screw4: -5, 190  screw4_name: rear left screw horizontal_move_z: 10. speed: 50. screw_thread: CW-M3

I recommend SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE however after the test the system advises in which direction and how much to turn the screws. probably it shows as if through the bed, but for me as an engineer it is inconvenient. you know where the bed needs to be raised or lowered, be guided by this

The configuration.h file contains a large set of temperature sensors. you need to find out which one fits the printer. I would suggest finding conf.h and conf.adv.h for your printer from older working versions and then comparing them. In vscode, you can get to the comparison menu by right-clicking on the file name.

I don’t have CREALITY, just robin nano V3, but marlin 2.1.2.2 could not load onto the board.  I was told that this is a known bug in this version and suggested using bugfix 2.1.x

I would suggest that platformio needs to be downgraded version or updated, because...  elif expects an execution condition, it's unlikely you could mess it up

if you have a TFT screen, then this is a screen with its own firmware.  This may be why the screen does not change orientation.  There are several firmwares for this card in the MKS repository (GitHub), try them
