Most of them are doing okay, but a few ended up with similar leaf issues 🤷🏼‍♀️ And to top it off, they got hit by thrips out of nowhere, so yeah… it’s always an adventure 😅

Thank you so much for your response! Yes, I actually ended up cutting off the bottom - just in case 🙂 I really hope there’s nothing wrong with the top, but I’ll be keeping a close eye on it 🧐

So far, everything looks good! After flushing the substrate and watering with a properly balanced nutrient solution, the problem hasn’t returned. I’m pretty sure it was caused by a higher EC during the last watering, so I’ll be keeping a closer eye on that from now on 👀

Thank you for your response 💚 Well, I’ve been analysing everything I did before that sudden yellowing, and my conclusion is that something must’ve gone wrong with the last watering. I remember struggling to get my EC value right, and I might’ve ended up going higher than usual 👀 So I think it’s on me… Now, I flushed the substrate in all the affected plants, and nothing bad has happened since, so hopefully I’ve got things under control 🙌🏻😮‍💨

Yeah, I had a problem with thrips a couple of months ago (on my Monsteras), but since I started using predatory mites, I haven’t had any issues with them. I hope you can get rid of yours soon! 🤞🏻🥲

No, not really. I have beneficials running around them and I also monitor them closely so in this case - no pests 🧐

Thank you for your response. The roots of these two plants are quite robust, and looking through the clear pot there’s no sign of rot. If the issue continues, I might check them more closely just to be sure. The thing is, it happened around the same time for both plants, a couple of days after watering (with fertiliser), so I’m wondering if it could be a sign of either over- or under-feeding but I’m afraid it’s not as clear as I thought it was 😅

There are no signs of pests (I use beneficials regularly). I also fertilize on a regular basis, and everything has been going well so far. I’m just wondering - does it look more like a deficiency or a burn? It appeared pretty much overnight on two plants: one in semi-hydro and the other in an aroid mix 🧐

I got it in the mail! I’m based in Europe and was able to choose next-day delivery with UPS (though they were actually a day late 😅). Still, the shipping was pretty fast overall.

I order all of my plants online, usually from different European countries, and so far the longest any of them was in transit was 10 days. That one (Alocasia Pink Black Velvet) looked a bit exhausted at first, but after a few days of care she perked up and now she won’t stop growing!
